康复大学是由山东省人民政府主办，教育部、中国残疾人联合会、国家卫生健康委员会等国家部委和青岛市共同支持建设的公办普通本科学校，定位为新型研究型大学，着重开展基础性、前沿科学技术研究，培养拔尖创新人才。学校立足服务国家战略，先后列入《中华人民共和国国民经济和社会发展第十三个五年规划纲要》《中华人民共和国国民经济和社会发展第十四个五年规划和2035年远景目标纲要》。

Kangfu University is a public ordinary undergraduate university sponsored by the People's Government of Shandong Province and co-supported by national ministries and commissions such as the Ministry of Education, the China Disabled Persons' Federation, the National Health Commission, and Qingdao City. It is positioned as a new type of research university, focusing on basic and cutting-edge scientific and technological research and cultivating top-notch innovative talents. Based on serving the national strategy, the university has been included in the Outline of the 13th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of the People's Republic of China and the Outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-Range Goals Through the Year 2035 of the People's Republic of China.

学校坚持世界眼光、国际标准、中国特色，坚持高起点、高水平、国际化办学理念，致力于培养具有先进康复理念和自主创新精神，能够引领康复事业发展的复合型拔尖创新人才。2020年始先后与北京大学、山东大学、四川大学、北京航空航天大学、中国康复研究中心等单位开展战略合作，联合培养博士研究生。

Adhering to a global vision, international standards, and Chinese characteristics, the university adheres to the school-running philosophy of high starting point, high level, and internationalization. It is committed to cultivating compound top-notch innovative talents with advanced rehabilitation concepts and independent innovation spirit who can lead the development of rehabilitation undertakings. Since 2020, it has successively carried out strategic cooperation with Peking University, Shandong University, Sichuan University, Beihang University, China Rehabilitation Research Center and other institutions to jointly train doctoral students.

康复大学坚持需求导向，立足前沿交叉，践行新医科、新工科、新文科，积极构建以康复+为引领，医学、理学、工学为主体，管理学、教育学、社会学等跨领域多学科协调发展的大康复学科专业体系。目前设有康复科学与工程学院、生命科学与健康学院、社会发展学院、临床医学院、公共教学部(马克思主义学院)5个学院(部)。2024年首批招生专业为康复物理治疗、康复作业治疗、生物医学工程、生物信息学和临床医学。

Kangfu University adheres to demand orientation, based on cutting-edge intersections, practices new medicine, new engineering, and new liberal arts, and actively builds a large rehabilitation discipline system led by "rehabilitation +", with medicine, science, and engineering as the main body, and coordinated development of interdisciplinary fields such as management, education, and sociology. At present, there are 5 colleges (departments), including the School of Rehabilitation Science and Engineering, the School of Life Sciences and Health, the School of Social Development, the School of Clinical Medicine, and the Department of Public Teaching (Marxist College). The first batch of enrollment majors in 2024 are Rehabilitation Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation Occupational Therapy, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, and Clinical Medicine.

康复大学聚集了一支高水平师资队伍，其中具有副高级及以上专业技术职务的占比一半以上，具有博士学位的占比九成以上，毕业于国内双一流高校和具有海外学习工作经历的占比八成以上，院士、国家杰青等高层次人才占比五分之一以上。拥有康复大学青岛中心医院（1953年～，三级甲等综合性医院）、康复大学青岛医院（1916年～，三级甲等综合性医院）、康复大学青岛康复医院（三级专科医院）3所附属医院。

Kangfu University has gathered a high-level faculty, among which more than half have associate senior or above professional and technical positions, more than 90% have doctoral degrees, more than 80% graduated from domestic double first-class universities or have overseas study and work experience, and academicians, National Outstanding Youth and other high-level talents account for more than one fifth. It has three affiliated hospitals: Qingdao Central Hospital of Kangfu University (since 1953, a tertiary first-class general hospital), Qingdao Hospital of Kangfu University (since 1916, a tertiary first-class general hospital), and Qingdao Rehabilitation Hospital of Kangfu University (a tertiary specialized hospital).
