昆明文理学院坐落于云南省昆明市，是一所经教育部批准设立的民办全日制普通本科高校。学校前身为2000年创办的云南师范大学文理学院，2021年2月正式转设为独立设置的昆明文理学院。学校坚持社会主义办学方向，立足云南、服务边疆、面向全国，致力于培养具有家国情怀、国际视野和创新精神的高素质应用型人才，为区域经济社会发展提供智力支持。

Kunming College of Arts and Sciences is a private full-time ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education, located in Kunming, Yunnan Province. Formerly known as the College of Arts and Sciences of Yunnan Normal University founded in 2000, it was officially transformed into an independent university in February 2021. Adhering to the socialist orientation in running schools, the university is committed to cultivating high-quality applied talents with patriotism, international vision and innovative spirit, providing intellectual support for regional economic and social development.

学校现有龙泉、杨林两个校区，总占地面积约1200亩，设有12个二级学院（部），开设38个本科专业，涵盖理、工、经、文、管、教育、艺术七大学科门类，在校学生2万余人。教学科研仪器设备总值逾1亿元，图书馆纸质及电子藏书达345万册，校外实习基地175个，实现智慧校园无线网络全覆盖。

The university has two campuses (Longquan and Yanglin) covering an area of about 1200 mu, with 12 secondary colleges (departments) offering 38 undergraduate majors spanning seven disciplines: science, engineering, economics, literature, management, education, and art. It has over 20,000 students, teaching and research equipment worth more than 100 million yuan, 3.45 million volumes of paper and electronic books in the library, 175 off-campus internship bases, and full coverage of smart campus wireless network.

自办学以来，学校已为社会培养5万余名合格人才，师资队伍中副高级以上职称教师占比45%，研究生学历教师占比80%。学校先后荣获全国党建工作标杆院系、云南省一流党建示范党支部等荣誉，教育类专业教师资格证通过率、小语种专业考级通过率均居全省同类院校前列，学生在国家级学科竞赛中累计获得一等奖1项、三等奖3项。

Since its establishment, the university has cultivated over 50,000 qualified talents. Among the faculty, 45% have associate senior titles or above, and 80% hold postgraduate degrees. It has been awarded honors such as National Benchmark Department for Party Building Work and Yunnan Provincial First-class Party Building Demonstration Branch. The passing rates of teacher qualification certificates for education majors and language proficiency tests for minor languages rank among the top in similar universities in Yunnan. Students have won 1 national first prize and 3 third prizes in national academic competitions.
