洛阳理工学院是省属全日制普通本科高校，坐落于十三朝古都洛阳市。学校始建于1956年，2007年由洛阳工业高等专科学校与洛阳大学合并升格为本科院校，更名为洛阳理工学院。学校现有王城、开元、九都三个校区，占地2087亩，校舍建筑面积86万平方米，各类教学实验中心59个，校外实习实训基地282个，馆藏纸质图书240.9万册，电子图书196.3万册。

Luoyang Institute of Science and Technology is a provincial full-time ordinary undergraduate university located in Luoyang, an ancient capital of thirteen dynasties. Founded in 1956, the university was upgraded to an undergraduate institution in 2007 through the merger of Luoyang College of Industry and Luoyang University, and renamed Luoyang Institute of Science and Technology. It currently has three campuses: Wangcheng, Kaiyuan, and Jiudu, covering an area of 2087 mu with a building area of 860,000 square meters. The university boasts 59 teaching and experimental centers, 282 off-campus internship and training bases, 2.409 million paper books, and 1.963 million e-books in its library collection.

With engineering as its main focus, the university covers eight disciplines including science, management, literature, economics, education, art, and history. It has 19 secondary teaching colleges and departments, offering 58 undergraduate programs, with over 27,000 full-time students. The university has long maintained its特色 in building materials, having cultivated more than 200,000 senior professionals for the national building materials industry and regional economic and social development, earning it the reputation as a cradle for talent development in the building materials industry.
