辽宁警察学院是由辽宁省人民政府举办、经教育部批准设立的全日制普通本科院校，隶属于辽宁省公安厅，是全省唯一一所省属公安本科院校。学校前身为1960年创建的辽宁省公安厅劳改干部学校，历经辽宁省人民警察学校、辽宁警官高等专科学校等发展阶段，2014年5月正式升格为本科院校并定名辽宁警察学院。学校始终坚持“政治建校、特色立校、质量兴校、改革强校”办学理念，肩负为辽宁公安司法机关培养高素质应用型警务人才和培训在职民警的双重使命。

Liaoning Police College is a full-time public undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education and sponsored by the Liaoning Provincial People's Government. Affiliated to the Liaoning Provincial Public Security Department, it is the only provincial public security undergraduate college in Liaoning Province. Founded in 1960 as the Correctional Cadre School of Liaoning Provincial Public Security Department, the college has evolved through stages including Liaoning Provincial People's Police School and Liaoning Police College (junior college level) before being upgraded to an undergraduate institution in May 2014. Adhering to the educational philosophy of "building the college through politics, distinguishing itself through characteristics, thriving on quality, and strengthening via reform", the college undertakes the dual mission of cultivating high-quality applied policing talents for Liaoning's public security and judicial organs and training in-service police officers.

学校主校区位于大连市甘井子区营平路260号，鞍山分校区占地7.8万平方米，总占地面积59万平方米，校舍建筑面积18.33万平方米。现开设侦查学、刑事科学技术、治安学、网络安全与执法等10个公安司法类本科专业，其中网络安全与执法、治安学专业入选国家级一流本科专业建设点。拥有教职工445人，专任教师300余人，教授41人，双师型教师156人，全日制本专科在校生5800余人。建校以来累计培养警务人才3万余名，毕业生已成为辽宁公安司法系统骨干力量，在维护社会稳定、建设法治辽宁中发挥重要作用。

The main campus is located at 260 Yingping Road, Ganjingzi District, Dalian, with an Anshan branch campus covering 78,000 square meters. The total campus area is 590,000 square meters, with a building area of 183,300 square meters. The college currently offers 10 public security and judicial undergraduate programs including Investigation, Forensic Science and Technology, Public Security Studies, and Cyber Security and Law Enforcement, among which Cyber Security and Law Enforcement, Public Security Studies are listed as national first-class undergraduate program construction sites. It has 445 faculty members, over 300 full-time teachers, 41 professors, 156 dual-qualified teachers, and more than 5,800 full-time undergraduate and junior college students. Having trained over 30,000 policing talents since its establishment, its graduates have become backbone forces in Liaoning's public security and judicial systems, playing a crucial role in maintaining social stability and building a rule-of-law Liaoning.

学校建有公安部警务实战训练大连基地、全国公安教育训练网络学院、公安部训练科技应用研发中心等多个国家级教学科研平台，自主研发的公安教育训练系统在全国30余个省级公安机关应用，可同时满足200万民警在线培训需求。2012年获首届全国公安院校教学技能大赛团体一等奖并荣立公安部集体一等功，2016年承办第二届大赛再获学生团体一等奖。近年来深化校局合作，构建“教、学、练、战”一体化人才培养模式，获评教育部教育信息化优秀试点院校，入警训练服务通过ISO9001国际质量体系认证，正全力向全国一流公安本科院校目标迈进。

The college has established multiple national-level teaching and research platforms including the Ministry of Public Security Dalian Policing Practical Training Base, National Public Security Education and Training Network College, and Ministry of Public Security Training Technology Application R&D Center. Its independently developed public security education and training systems are applied in over 30 provincial public security organs nationwide, capable of supporting online training for 2 million police officers simultaneously. In 2012, it won the group first prize in the First National Public Security College Teaching Skills Competition and was awarded the Collective First-Class Merit by the Ministry of Public Security. In 2016, it hosted the Second Competition and again won the student group first prize. In recent years, the college has deepened university-police cooperation, constructed an integrated talent cultivation model of "teaching, learning, practicing, and fighting", and was rated as an Excellent Pilot Institution for Educational Informatization by the Ministry of Education. Its police recruitment training service has obtained ISO9001 international quality system certification, striving to become a first-class national public security undergraduate college.
