辽宁生态工程职业学院是一所省属公办全日制高等职业院校，前身为始建于1951年的辽宁水利职业学院和辽宁林业职业技术学院，两校分别起源于东北水利专科学校和东北林业专科学校。2018年8月，两校合并组建为辽宁生态工程职业学院。办学73年来，学校已为辽宁及东北地区水利、林业等行业培养16万余名应用技术人才，是辽宁省首批示范性高等职业院校、国家首批示范性职业教育集团牵头单位、全国毕业生就业典型50强高校。

Liaoning Vocational College of Ecological Engineering is a public full-time higher vocational college directly under the province. Its predecessors are Liaoning Water Conservancy Vocational College and Liaoning Forestry Vocational and Technical College, both founded in 1951, originating from Northeast Water Conservancy Junior College and Northeast Forestry Junior College respectively. In August 2018, the two colleges merged to form Liaoning Vocational College of Ecological Engineering. Over the past 73 years, the college has cultivated more than 160,000 applied technical talents for water conservancy, forestry and other industries in Liaoning and Northeast China. It is one of the first batch of示范性 higher vocational colleges in Liaoning Province, the leading unit of the first batch of national demonstration vocational education groups, and one of the top 50 colleges with typical employment of graduates in China.

学校总占地面积103.05万平方米，校舍建筑面积20.69万平方米，拥有沈阳苏家屯、沈北新区和鞍山职教城三个校区，以及6万余亩实验林场（全国生态院校中规模最大的示范性基地）和300亩教学基地（国家林业科普基地）。现有教职工736人，专任教师535人（其中高级职称193人、博硕研究生399人），全日制在校生13150人，开设林业技术、园林技术、水利工程等66个专业，拥有国家级重点专业2个、国家级实训基地4个、省级高水平特色专业群3个，1+X证书制度试点43个，形成了契合国家双碳战略和东北振兴需求的生态特色专业体系。

The college covers a total area of 1.0305 million square meters with a building area of 206,900 square meters. It has three campuses in Sujiatun, Shenbei New District of Shenyang and Anshan Vocational Education City, as well as an experimental forest farm of over 60,000 mu (the largest demonstration base among national ecological colleges) and a 300-mu teaching base (national forestry science popularization base). There are 736 faculty members, including 535 full-time teachers (193 with senior titles and 399 with master's or doctoral degrees), and 13,150 full-time students. The college offers 66 majors such as forestry technology, landscape technology and water conservancy engineering, with 2 national key majors, 4 national training bases, 3 provincial high-level characteristic professional groups, and 43 pilot projects of the 1+X certificate system, forming an ecological characteristic professional system that meets the needs of the national dual-carbon strategy and Northeast revitalization.
