闽江学院坐落于福建省福州市，是2002年经教育部批准设立的全日制普通本科高校，实行“省市共建、以市为主”的办学体制。学校溯源于1958年创办的福州师范高等专科学校和1984年创办的闽江职业大学，2010年，福建音乐学院并入闽江学院。学校现为福建省重点建设高校、福建省一流应用型建设高校（A类），拥有硕士学位授予权。

Minjiang University is located in Fuzhou, Fujian Province. It is a full-time ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education in 2002, operating under the school-running system of "co-construction by provinces and cities, with cities as the main body". The university traces its roots to Fuzhou Teachers College founded in 1958 and Minjiang Vocational University founded in 1984. In 2010, Fujian Conservatory of Music was merged into Minjiang University. Currently, the university is a key construction university in Fujian Province, a first-class applied construction university (Class A) in Fujian Province, and has the right to grant master's degrees.

学校坚持“应用型、地方性、开放式、特色化”的办学定位，紧密对接区域经济社会发展需求，形成了以文、理、工为主，多学科协调发展的学科专业体系。现有全日制在校生近1.6万人，教职工1100余人，其中高级职称教师占比超40%。学校拥有省级重点学科5个，国家级一流本科专业建设点12个，省级一流本科专业建设点21个，构建了“产业学院+特色专业群”的应用型人才培养模式。

Adhering to the school-running orientation of "application-oriented, local, open and characteristic", the university closely meets the needs of regional economic and social development, and has formed a disciplinary and professional system dominated by arts, science and engineering, with coordinated development of multiple disciplines. It currently has nearly 16,000 full-time students and more than 1,100 faculty members, among whom senior professional title teachers account for over 40%. The university has 5 provincial key disciplines, 12 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, and 21 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites, establishing an application-oriented talent training model of "industry college + characteristic professional group".

近年来，学校大力推进产教融合、科教融汇，与300多家企事业单位建立合作关系，建有国家级众创空间、省级大学科技园等创新创业平台。在人才培养、科学研究、社会服务等方面取得显著成效，荣获“全国创新创业典型经验高校”“福建省文明校园”等称号，为区域经济社会发展培养了大批高素质应用型人才。
