民政职业大学是国家民政部直属的唯一一所本科层次高等学校，其前身是1959年成立的内务部民政干部学校，历经民政部管理干部学院、北京社会管理职业学院六十多年的办学积淀，为民政系统培养和输送了40余万名技术技能人才和民政干部，累计鉴定评价民政行业特有工种人才近25万人次，被誉为“民政人才的摇篮”。2024年5月，教育部批准以北京社会管理职业学院为基础整合民政部教育科研资源设立民政职业大学，这是我国民政领域第一所本科层次高等学校。

Civil Affairs Vocational University is the only undergraduate-level institution directly under the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China. Its predecessor was the Civil Affairs Cadre School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs established in 1959. With over 60 years of educational accumulation through the Ministry of Civil Affairs Administrative Cadre College and Beijing College of Social Administration, it has cultivated and delivered more than 400,000 technical and skilled talents as well as civil affairs cadres for the civil affairs system. It has also evaluated nearly 250,000 talents in unique trades of the civil affairs industry, earning it the reputation of "the cradle of civil affairs talents". In May 2024, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of Civil Affairs Vocational University by integrating educational and scientific research resources of the Ministry of Civil Affairs based on Beijing College of Social Administration, making it the first undergraduate-level institution in China's civil affairs field.

学校承担着为民政系统培养高层次技术技能人才、开展民政干部培训、技能人才继续教育、民政职业技能等级认定、民政政策理论研究和民政领域国家职业技能标准制定等重要职能。现有大兴和燕郊两个校区，占地面积858.32亩，总建筑面积25.1万平米，拥有或共建省部级重点实验室12个、民政部技能大师工作室3个、160多间专业实训室及300多家校企深度合作的校外实训基地，馆藏纸质图书59万册、电子图书99.31万册，是集现代化、智能化、园林化于一体的北京市绿色校园。

The university undertakes important functions such as cultivating high-level technical and skilled talents for the civil affairs system, conducting civil affairs cadre training, continuing education for skilled talents, civil affairs vocational skill level certification, civil affairs policy theory research, and formulation of national vocational skill standards in the civil affairs field. It has two campuses in Daxing and Yanjiao, covering an area of 858.32 mu with a total construction area of 251,000 square meters. It has or co-built 12 provincial and ministerial key laboratories, 3 skill master studios of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, more than 160 professional training rooms, and over 300 off-campus training bases in deep school-enterprise cooperation. The library has 590,000 paper books and 993,100 e-books, making it a green campus in Beijing integrating modernization, intelligence, and garden features.

学校立足职业教育类型定位，人才培养突出就业导向，学生就业率超过95%。开设25个社会急需的本专科专业，其中7个专业被认定为教育部高等职业教育创新发展行动计划骨干专业，建成2个国家级专业教学资源库，牵头组建多个全国性行业产教融合共同体，形成了特色鲜明的民政职业教育体系。

Based on the orientation of vocational education, the university highlights employment-oriented talent cultivation, with a student employment rate exceeding 95%. It offers 25 undergraduate and specialized majors urgently needed by society, among which 7 majors have been identified as key majors in the Innovation and Development Action Plan for Higher Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education. It has built 2 national-level professional teaching resource databases and led the establishment of multiple national industry-education integration communities, forming a distinctive civil affairs vocational education system.

学校师资力量雄厚，拥有全国技术能手、教育部课程思政教学名师等高水平教师队伍，近年来获国家级教学成果奖4项、省部级教学成果奖8项，承担民政部政策理论研究项目90余项，是民政干部教育培训的主阵地和民政领域人才培养、科学研究的核心基地。

The university boasts a strong faculty, including national technical experts and teaching masters in curriculum ideology and politics from the Ministry of Education. In recent years, it has won 4 national teaching achievement awards and 8 provincial and ministerial teaching achievement awards, and undertaken more than 90 policy theory research projects of the Ministry of Civil Affairs. It serves as the main阵地 for civil affairs cadre education and training, and the core base for talent cultivation and scientific research in the civil affairs field.
