南京视觉艺术职业学院创建于2000年，是经江苏省人民政府批准设立的民办普通专科院校，坐落于南京市溧水区空港新城，占地面积800亩，校园山水相依、环境优美。学院前身为1999年成立的南方摄影学院，2005年正式独立办学，主管部门为江苏省教育厅，以艺术类型专科教育为特色，秉承“精艺创新、追求卓越”的校训。

Nanjing Institute of Visual Arts was founded in 2000 and is a private ordinary college approved by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government. Located in the Airport New City of Lishui District, Nanjing, it covers an area of 800 mu with a beautiful campus surrounded by mountains and rivers. Formerly known as Southern Photography College established in 1999, it officially became an independent institution in 2005. Affiliated to the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, the college specializes in art-related junior college education and adheres to the motto of "Excellence in Art, Innovation in Pursuit".

学院设有传媒系、设计系、音乐系、人文系和国际学院五个教学单位，开设影视传媒类、艺术设计类、音乐舞蹈类及服务管理类等24个专业方向，建有数字化演播厅、音乐厅、高尔夫练习场、周宁摄影博物馆、NIVA美术馆等教学设施。师资队伍涵盖国内外专家学者及留学归国人员，教学设备引进自英、美、德等国，注重实践教学与国际交流，已与美国、澳大利亚、韩国等多所高校建立合作关系。

The college comprises five teaching units: the Department of Media, Department of Design, Department of Music, Department of Humanities, and International College. It offers 24 professional directions covering film and television media, art design, music and dance, and service management. Educational facilities include a digital studio, concert hall, golf driving range, Zhou Ning Photography Museum, and NIVA Art Museum. The faculty includes domestic and foreign experts, scholars, and returned overseas students. Teaching equipment is imported from the UK, USA, Germany, etc., with a focus on practical teaching and international exchanges. Cooperative relationships have been established with universities in the USA, Australia, South Korea, and other countries.
