中国人民解放军陆军防化学院（PLA Army Chemical Defense College）始建于1950年，是我国唯一一所培养核生化防护人才的高等教育院校，被誉为“防化兵摇篮”。学院位于北京市昌平区，主要面向全军培养防化军官和军士，承担国家核生化人才培养任务，同时是国家核应急行动技术支持中心、核生化应急救援队理论教学基地及反恐怖化学检测鉴定指定机构。

Founded in 1950, the PLA Army Chemical Defense College is the only higher education institution in China dedicated to cultivating nuclear, biological, and chemical (NBC) protection talents, known as the "Cradle of Chemical Defense Soldiers." Located in Changping District, Beijing, the college primarily trains chemical defense officers and non-commissioned officers for the entire military, undertakes national NBC talent development tasks, and serves as the National Nuclear Emergency Action Technical Support Center, the theoretical teaching base for NBC emergency rescue teams, and a designated institution for anti-terrorism chemical detection and identification.

学院学科专业特色鲜明，形成了以军事学、工学为主的核生化防护学科体系，开设防化分队指挥、辐射防护与核安全等6个本科专业，拥有3个军队重点学科、1个博士学位授权点及7个硕士专业学位授权点。师资力量雄厚，教授、副教授（高级工程师）占比超30%，硕士以上学历教员超50%，其中国家百千万人才工程人选、国际禁化武组织专家等高层次人才辈出，并涌现出一等功臣钟玉征等英模人物。

The college boasts distinctive disciplines and specialties, forming an NBC protection discipline system with military science and engineering as the main focus. It offers 6 undergraduate programs including Chemical Defense Unit Command and Radiation Protection & Nuclear Safety, with 3 key military disciplines, 1 doctoral degree authorization point, and 7 master's professional degree authorization points. The faculty is strong, with professors and associate professors (senior engineers) accounting for over 30%, and teachers with master's degrees or above exceeding 50%. It has cultivated high-level talents such as candidates for the National Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Talents Project and experts from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), and has produced heroic figures like first-class merit recipient Zhong Yuzheng.

学院教学科研设施先进，建有国家认证认可实验室、军队重点实验室等专业实验室，以及防化兵综合训练场、核生化数字图书馆等教学训练平台，总面积近1.2万亩的校区内教学场所、训练场地及课余活动设施完善。秉持“面向战场、军地兼容、服务学员、开放办学、特色发展、能力为本”的教育理念，注重理论与实践结合，多项教学科研成果获国家级和军队科技进步奖，为军队和国家核生化安全领域输送了大批高素质专业人才。

The college is equipped with advanced teaching and research facilities, including nationally accredited laboratories, key military laboratories, and other professional labs, as well as teaching and training platforms such as a comprehensive training ground for chemical defense soldiers and a digital library for NBC studies. The campus, covering nearly 12,000 mu, features well-equipped teaching venues, training grounds, and extracurricular activity facilities. Adhering to the educational philosophy of "Facing the Battlefield, Military-Civil Integration, Serving Students, Open Education, Characteristic Development, and Ability-Oriented," it emphasizes the integration of theory and practice. Many teaching and research achievements have won national and military science and technology progress awards, providing a large number of high-quality professionals for the military and national NBC security fields.
