攀枝花学院是教育部布点在川西南、滇西北唯一一所以工为主的综合性普通本科院校，是全国首批100所国家级创新创业学院之一。学校坐落于著名的钒钛之都、阳光花城、康养胜地、全国唯一以花命名的城市——攀枝花市市区。学校由方毅、宋任穷等老一辈革命家倡导，始建于1983年，1995年升格为普通高等专科学校，2001年升格为本科院校并更名为攀枝花学院，2005年获得学士学位授予权，2021年获批成为硕士学位授予单位。

Panzhihua University is the only comprehensive ordinary undergraduate university focusing on engineering in southwestern Sichuan and northwestern Yunnan approved by the Ministry of Education, and one of the first 100 national innovation and entrepreneurship colleges in China. The university is located in the urban area of Panzhihua, a famous vanadium-titanium capital, sunny flower city, health resort, and the only city named after a flower in China. Initiated by veteran revolutionaries such as Fang Yi and Song Renqiong, the university was founded in 1983, upgraded to an ordinary higher vocational college in 1995,升格为本科院校并更名为攀枝花学院 in 2001, obtained the right to grant bachelor's degrees in 2005, and was approved as a master's degree-granting unit in 2021.

学校坚持立足攀西、面向西部、辐射全国的服务定位，秉持“明德、砺志、博学、笃行”的校训，致力于培养具有家国情怀、现代文明人格、创新精神和实践能力的高水平应用型人才。现有本科专业62个，12个专业硕士学位授权点，建有国家级一流专业1个、特色专业1个，省级一流本科专业11个。学校占地总面积约1450亩，校舍面积57.42万平方米，图书馆文献509万册，全日制本专科在校生及研究生、留学生15351人。

Adhering to the service orientation of being rooted in Panxi, facing the west, and radiating the whole country, the university upholds the school motto of "Virtue, Aspiration, Erudition, and Practice", and is committed to cultivating high-level applied talents with family and country feelings, modern civilized personality, innovative spirit and practical ability. There are 62 undergraduate majors, 12 professional master's degree authorization points, 1 national first-class major, 1 characteristic major, and 11 provincial first-class undergraduate majors. The university covers a total area of about 1450 mu, with a school building area of 574,200 square meters, 5.09 million volumes of library documents, and 15,351 full-time undergraduates, junior college students, postgraduates and international students.
