青海职业技术大学是一所公办职业本科大学，始建于1976年12月，前身为青海省交通学校、青海省交通职工中等专业学校。2002年4月升格为青海交通职业技术学院，2024年5月经教育部批准设立为青海职业技术大学，是青藏高原地区第一所职业本科院校、西北地区唯一一所交通运输类国家骨干高职院校。学校以工为主，工、管、农、商协调发展，开设6个本科专业和36个专科专业，涵盖交通运输、装备制造、电子与信息等十大类，致力于培养服务青藏高原地区发展的高素质技术技能人才。

Qinghai Vocational and Technical University is a public vocational undergraduate university founded in December 1976, formerly known as Qinghai Traffic School and Qinghai Traffic Vocational Secondary School. Upgraded to Qinghai Traffic Vocational and Technical College in April 2002, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to establish Qinghai Vocational and Technical University in May 2024. As the first vocational undergraduate college in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the only national key higher vocational college in transportation in northwest China, the university focuses on engineering with coordinated development of engineering, management, agriculture and commerce. It offers 6 undergraduate majors and 36 junior college majors covering ten categories including transportation, equipment manufacturing, electronics and information, dedicated to cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents serving the development of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

学校占地面积831.51亩，校舍总建筑面积31.41万平方米，教学科研仪器设备值约1.96亿元，图书馆馆藏图书111.37万册。现有教职工653人，其中专任教师488人，双师型教师占比43.44%。建有177个校内教学实训场所和176个产教融合实习基地，先后荣获“全国职业教育先进集体”“国家优质专科高等职业院校”等荣誉称号，是国家现代学徒制建设单位、国家级专业技术人员继续教育基地。

The university covers an area of 831.51 mu with a total building area of 314,100 square meters. The value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is approximately 196 million yuan, and the library has a collection of 1.1137 million books. There are 653 faculty members, including 488 full-time teachers, with "double-qualified" teachers accounting for 43.44%. It has 177 on-campus teaching and training sites and 176 industry-education integration practice bases. It has successively won honors such as "National Advanced Collective in Vocational Education" and "National High-quality Junior College Vocational College", and is a national modern apprenticeship construction unit and a national continuing education base for professional and technical personnel.
