黔南民族幼儿师范高等专科学校的前身是创建于1952年的黔南州贵定师范学校，为贵州省重点师范学校，1988年被国家教育部评为全国百强师范学校。2002年加挂黔南师院贵定分院牌子，开始招收五年制大专生；2007年起招收高中起点三年制大专生，并与贵州师范大学等联合举办本科自考教育。2014年3月，经贵州省人民政府批准正式升格为全日制公办普通高等专科学校，校址位于贵州省贵定县金南社区利民路48号。

Qiannan Preschool Education College for Nationalities traces its roots to Guiding Normal School of Qiannan Prefecture, founded in 1952. It was designated as a key normal school in Guizhou Province and ranked among the national top 100 normal schools by the Ministry of Education in 1988. In 2002, it was approved to operate as Guiding Branch of Qiannan Normal University, enrolling five-year junior college students. Since 2007, it has admitted three-year junior college students from senior high school graduates and collaborated with Guizhou Normal University to offer undergraduate self-taught education programs. In March 2014, it was officially upgraded to a full-time public ordinary higher vocational college with the approval of Guizhou Provincial People's Government, located at No. 48 Limin Road, Jinnan Community, Guiding County, Guizhou Province.

学校现有新老两个校区，总占地面积823亩，建筑面积近35万平方米，教学、实验、行政用房面积达20余平方米。开设有学前教育、早期教育、特殊教育、美术教育等17个专科专业，其中学前教育为省级特色骨干专业，美术教育专业群为省级特色骨干专业群。拥有省级学前教育开放共享实训平台1个、产教融合实训基地3个，实体托幼服务中心及幼儿园各1所，校外实训基地180个。截至2023年，学校全日制在校生8849人，教职工中高级职称教师占比超30%，双师型教师65人，形成了以师范教育为特色、学前教育为优势的办学格局。

The college has two campuses (new and old) covering a total area of 823 mu (about 548,667 square meters) with a building area of nearly 350,000 square meters, including over 20 square meters of teaching, experimental, and administrative space. It offers 17 junior college programs such as Preschool Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, and Art Education. Among them, Preschool Education is a provincial-level characteristic key major, and the Art Education major group is a provincial-level characteristic key major group. The college boasts 1 provincial-level open and shared training platform for preschool education, 3 industry-education integration training bases, 1 physical childcare service center, 1 affiliated kindergarten, and 180 off-campus training bases. By 2023, it had 8,849 full-time students, with over 30% of faculty holding senior professional titles and 65 "double-qualified" teachers, forming a school-running pattern featuring normal education with preschool education as its优势.
