黔西南民族职业技术学院是2004年4月经贵州省人民政府批准成立的公办综合性全日制普通高等职业学院，由黔西南州原农业学校、水电学校、农机化学校、财贸学校、卫生学校五所中专合并组建，2008年10月黔西南民族行政管理学校并入。学校位于黔西南布依族苗族自治州州府兴义市，秉持“崇德、敬学、强技、创新”校训，以培养技术技能人才为目标，服务区域经济社会发展。

Qianxinan Vocational and Technical College for Nationalities is a public comprehensive full-time higher vocational college approved by the Guizhou Provincial People's Government in April 2004. It was formed by merging five secondary schools in Qianxinan Prefecture, including the former Agricultural School, Hydropower School, Agricultural Mechanization School, Finance and Trade School, and Health School. In October 2008, Qianxinan Administrative School for Nationalities was incorporated into the college. Located in Xingyi City, the capital of Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, the college adheres to the motto of "Advocating Virtue, Respecting Learning, Strengthening Skills, and Innovating", aiming to cultivate technical and skilled talents to serve regional economic and social development.

学院占地644.5亩，校舍建筑面积近19.39万平方米，全日制在校生11000余人。现有教职工522人，其中教授12人、副教授98人，硕士及博士187人，双师素质教师占比78.59%。开设高职专业25个、中职专业4个，重点打造旅游管理省级高水平专业群，拥有国家医师资格考试实践技能考试基地等191个实训实验室，校企合作单位117家，形成“五力耦同”产教融合模式。

The college covers an area of 644.5 mu (about 429,667 square meters) with a school building area of nearly 193,900 square meters and over 11,000 full-time students. It has 522 faculty members, including 12 professors, 98 associate professors, 187 masters and doctors, with "double-qualified" teachers accounting for 78.59%. The college offers 25 higher vocational majors and 4 secondary vocational majors, focusing on building a provincial high-level professional group in tourism management. It has 191 training laboratories, including the National Physician Qualification Examination Practical Skills Examination Base, and 117 school-enterprise cooperation units, forming a "Five Forces Coupling" industry-education integration model.

近年来，学院深化教育教学改革，动态调整专业7个，新增智能机电技术等专业，编写规划教材16部，建成教师企业工作站5个。师生在技能大赛中获国家级、省级奖项110项，其中2024年在“一带一路暨金砖国家技能大赛”中斩获5项一等奖。毕业生双证率达90%，初次就业率稳步提升，用人单位满意度超90%，为乡村振兴和区域发展输送大量技术人才。

In recent years, the college has deepened educational and teaching reforms, dynamically adjusted 7 majors, added majors such as intelligent electromechanical technology, compiled 16 planned textbooks, and established 5 teacher enterprise workstations. Teachers and students have won 110 national and provincial awards in skill competitions, including 5 first prizes in the "the Belt and Road Initiative and BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Competition" in 2024. The double-certificate rate of graduates reaches 90%, the initial employment rate has steadily increased, and the employer satisfaction rate exceeds 90%, providing a large number of technical talents for rural revitalization and regional development.

学院注重思政育人与文化传承，构建“五同五力”思政育人品牌，获贵州省劳动教育示范校称号。深化国际交流，参与中国-东盟教育交流周等活动，搭建师生成长平台。目前正推进学生宿舍、康养实训中心等项目建设，致力于打造民族地区职业教育特色标杆。

The college focuses on ideological and political education and cultural inheritance, constructing the "Five Together, Five Forces" ideological and political education brand, and has been awarded the title of Guizhou Provincial Labor Education Model School. It deepens international exchanges, participates in activities such as the China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week, and builds a platform for teachers and students to grow. Currently, it is promoting the construction of student dormitories, health care training centers and other projects, committed to building a characteristic benchmark of vocational education in ethnic areas.
