泉州职业技术大学前身是创办于1986年的福建省摩托汽车培训学校，以职业培训为起点，历经福建省摩托汽车中专（1997年）、泉州中营职业学院（2002年）、泉州理工职业学院（2007年）等发展阶段，2018年升格为本科层次职业学校，2019年更名为泉州职业技术大学，是全国首批、福建省唯一的本科层次职业教育试点高校。学校坚持非营利办学初衷，坚定职业教育类型定位，以“忠诚、勤奋、创新、奉献”为校训，致力于培养“健康长寿心灵美、就业创业能力强、造福社会贡献大”的高端技能人才。

Quanzhou Vocational and Technical University originated from Fujian Motor Vehicle Training School founded in 1986, starting with vocational training. It has gone through several developmental stages, including Fujian Motor Vehicle Secondary Vocational School (1997), Quanzhou Zhongying Vocational College (2002), and Quanzhou Institute of Technology (2007). In 2018, it was upgraded to a undergraduate-level vocational school, and renamed Quanzhou Vocational and Technical University in 2019. It is one of the first batch of pilot universities for undergraduate-level vocational education in China and the only one in Fujian Province. Adhering to the non-profit educational philosophy and firmly positioning itself as a vocational education institution, the university takes "Loyalty, Diligence, Innovation, Dedication" as its motto and is committed to cultivating high-end skilled talents who are "mentally healthy with long-term well-being, strong in employment and entrepreneurship, and making significant contributions to society."

学校现有晋江、泉州两个校区，总占地面积1089亩，校舍建筑面积61.4万平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值1.49亿元，图书馆藏书125.7万册（含电子图书）。围绕石油化工、智能制造、新一代信息技术等8个专业群，开设29个职业本科专业，现有教职工696人（含兼职折合），其中享受国务院特殊津贴专家、省级职业教育名校长等省级以上人才16人次，在校生1.2万余人。学校深化产教融合，牵头建设的晋江市域产教联合体入选首批国家级市域产教联合体，与安踏、华为等龙头企业共建产业学院，形成“前厂后校、工学结合”的办学特色。

The university has two campuses in Jinjiang and Quanzhou, covering a total area of 1,089 mu (about 726,000 square meters) with a building area of 614,000 square meters. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 149 million yuan, and the library has a collection of 1.257 million books (including e-books). Focusing on 8 professional clusters such as petrochemical engineering, intelligent manufacturing, and new-generation information technology, it offers 29 vocational undergraduate programs. The university has 696 faculty members (including part-time equivalents), among whom 16 have received provincial or higher-level talent honors such as experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council and provincial vocational education model principals. It has over 12,000 students. Deepening industry-education integration, the university leads the Jinjiang Municipal Industry-Education Integration Alliance, which was selected into the first batch of national municipal industry-education integration alliances. It has established industrial colleges with leading enterprises such as Anta and Huawei, forming the educational characteristic of "factory-in-front-campus-behind and work-study integration."

学校先后荣获福建省大中专毕业生就业工作先进集体、全国民办高校创新创业教育实践基地建设奖等荣誉，在福建省大中专毕业生就业评估中多次获得优秀。办学39年来，累计为区域产业培养全日制毕业生近3万人，培训技术技能人才10余万人次，被誉为“创业者的摇篮”，是服务泉州乃至福建区域经济社会发展的重要人才培养基地。

The university has successively won honors such as the Advanced Collective for Employment Work of College Graduates in Fujian Province and the National Private University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Practice Base Construction Award, and has repeatedly achieved excellent results in the employment evaluation of college graduates in Fujian Province. Over the 39 years of its establishment, it has cultivated nearly 30,000 full-time graduates for regional industries and trained more than 100,000 technical and skilled talents, known as the "cradle of entrepreneurs." It is an important talent training base serving the economic and social development of Quanzhou and even Fujian Province.
