Sanya University was founded in 2005 in Sanya City, Hainan Province, funded by Geely Holding Group, a Fortune Global 500 enterprise. As one of the fastest-growing and most competitive comprehensive private universities in China, Sanya University has always adhered to the leadership of the Communist Party of China, fully implemented the Party's educational policy, and upheld the socialist orientation in running schools. 学校美丽校园生态安全、宜学宜居，被评为海南十大生态建筑，占地面积3000亩，建筑总面积50余万平方米，总投资超30亿元，下设25个学院，开设65个本科专业（含专业方向），涵盖经济学、管理学、法学、文学、教育学、艺术学、工学、理学、医学等9个学科门类。拥有高科技图书馆3个，图书资源总量275余万册。2022年，三亚学院成为海南首家民办高校硕士学位授予单位，社会工作、旅游管理、电子信息3个专业学位硕士授权点已于2023年正式招生。

The university's beautiful campus is ecologically safe, suitable for learning and living, and has been rated as one of the top ten ecological buildings in Hainan. It covers an area of 3,000 mu, with a total construction area of over 500,000 square meters and a total investment of more than 3 billion yuan. It has 25 colleges and offers 65 undergraduate majors (including professional directions), covering 9 disciplines such as economics, management, law, literature, education, art, engineering, science, and medicine. It also has 3 high-tech libraries with a total of more than 2.75 million books. In 2022, Sanya University became the first private university in Hainan to be authorized to grant master's degrees, and three professional master's degree programs in social work, tourism management, and electronic information officially enrolled students in 2023.

三亚学院紧密依托吉利控股集团产业链优势，与吉利及京东、阿里巴巴等全球战略合作伙伴共建九个现代产业学院，实现教育链和产业链的相互转化。学校拥有3个院士工作站，投入亿元建立海南首个百万级超算中心，运算性能位列全国高校前五，在海洋科技、南繁种业、金融科技等领域开展高水平科学研究，为海南自贸港建设输出更多高层次智力成果、培养更多高质量人才。

Closely relying on the industrial chain advantages of Geely Holding Group, Sanya University has jointly established nine modern industrial colleges with Geely and global strategic partners such as JD.com and Alibaba, realizing the mutual transformation of the education chain and the industrial chain. The university has 3 academician workstations and has invested 100 million yuan to establish Hainan's first million-level supercomputing center, whose computing performance ranks among the top five in Chinese universities. It conducts high-level scientific research in fields such as marine science and technology, southern seed industry, and financial technology, so as to output more high-level intellectual achievements and cultivate more high-quality talents for the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port.
