四川警察学院是由四川省人民政府主办，省教育厅和省公安厅共同管理的全日制普通本科院校，是四川公安队伍人才培养的主阵地、公安理论研究的主平台和藏区公安民警培训的主基地。学校始建于1950年的川西人民行政公署公安厅公安学校，历经多次更名和发展，2006年升格为本科院校并更名为四川警察学院。

Sichuan Police College is a full-time ordinary undergraduate college sponsored by the People's Government of Sichuan Province and jointly managed by the Provincial Department of Education and the Provincial Public Security Department. It is the main position for talent training of the Sichuan public security team, the main platform for public security theoretical research, and the main base for training public security police in Tibetan areas. The school was founded in 1950 as the Public Security School of the Public Security Department of the Western Sichuan People's Administrative Office. After several name changes and developments, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college in 2006 and renamed Sichuan Police College.

学校坚持“立足四川、服务公安、面向政法、辐射西部”的办学定位，以培养“政治坚定、业务精通、作风过硬、素质优良”的高素质应用型公安政法人才为目标。现有泸州、成都两个校区，设有侦查学、治安学、刑事科学技术等12个本科专业，拥有国家级一流本科专业建设点3个，省级一流本科专业建设点7个，形成了以公安学、公安技术为主体，法学、管理学等多学科协调发展的学科专业体系。

The college adheres to the school-running orientation of "based in Sichuan, serving public security, facing politics and law, and radiating the west", aiming to cultivate high-quality applied public security and political legal talents with "firm politics, proficient business, tough style, and excellent quality". It has two campuses in Luzhou and Chengdu, with 12 undergraduate majors including Investigation, Public Security Studies, and Criminal Science and Technology. It has 3 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites and 7 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites, forming a discipline and professional system with public security studies and public security technology as the main body, and coordinated development of law, management and other disciplines.

学校始终把政治建警、政治建校放在首位，构建了“教、学、练、战”一体化人才培养模式，注重实践教学和警务技能训练，建有完善的校内实验实训基地和校外实习基地。近年来，学校在公安实战化教学改革、藏区警务人才培养等方面形成了鲜明特色，为四川乃至全国公安政法系统输送了大批优秀人才，被誉为“四川警官的摇篮”。

The college always puts political police building and political school building in the first place, constructs an integrated talent training mode of "teaching, learning, practicing and fighting", pays attention to practical teaching and police skills training, and has perfect on-campus experimental training bases and off-campus practice bases. In recent years, the college has formed distinct characteristics in the reform of public security practical teaching and the training of police talents in Tibetan areas, and has输送 a large number of outstanding talents for the public security and political legal system in Sichuan and even the whole country, known as "the cradle of Sichuan police officers".
