山东工业职业学院是经山东省人民政府批准、国家教育部备案的一所国办全日制普通高等学校，其前身为创建于1959年的张店有色金属工业学校，曾隶属于冶金工业部；2003年5月，在国家级重点中专山东省工业学校和山东冶金职工大学的基础上升格组建为山东工业职业学院。学校坐落于山东省淄博市高新技术开发区，现占地面积1000余亩，建筑面积38万平方米，图书馆纸质藏书85余万册，在校生16000余人。

Shandong Vocational College of Industry is a public full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Shandong Province and registered with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. Its predecessor is Zhangdian Nonferrous Metal Industry School founded in 1959, which was once affiliated to the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry. In May 2003, it was upgraded and established on the basis of Shandong Industrial School, a national key secondary vocational school, and Shandong Metallurgical Workers' University. The college is located in the High-tech Development Zone of Zibo City, Shandong Province, covering an area of more than 1000 mu, with a building area of 380,000 square meters, a library with more than 850,000 paper books, and more than 16,000 students.

学校下设冶金与汽车工程学院、机电工程学院、电气工程学院等7个二级学院，形成了以工为主、文理相辅，涵盖能源材料、装备制造、电子信息等多个领域的专业布局。现有国家级骨干专业3个、央财支持重点建设专业2个、省高水平专业群2个，建有国内先进的钢铁生产模拟仿真实训基地、中德智能制造实训中心等实训场所182个，以及100余个校外实习实训基地。师资力量雄厚，拥有国家高层次人才特殊支持计划教学名师1人、享受国务院特殊津贴专家1人，教育部教师教学创新团队1个，省级教学团队14个。

The college has 7 secondary colleges including the College of Metallurgy and Automotive Engineering, the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and the College of Electrical Engineering, forming a professional layout dominated by engineering and supplemented by liberal arts, covering energy materials, equipment manufacturing, electronic information and other fields. It currently has 3 national-level key majors, 2 key construction majors supported by the central finance, 2 provincial high-level professional groups, 182 training sites such as domestically advanced steel production simulation training bases and Sino-German intelligent manufacturing training centers, as well as more than 100 off-campus internship and training bases. The faculty is strong, with 1 national high-level talent special support plan teaching master, 1 expert enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, 1 teaching innovation team of the Ministry of Education, and 14 provincial teaching teams.
