山东海事职业学院是山东省人民政府批准设立，由潍坊市人民政府主导举办、社会力量参与举办的全国首所混合所有制高职院校。学校是山东省职业院校混合所有制改革办学试点单位、全国职业教育混合所有制办学研究联盟理事长和秘书长单位、中国海洋大学联合培养合作单位，坐落于世界风筝之都——潍坊，位于渤海岸边、莱州湾畔，毗邻国家一类开放口岸—潍坊港和白浪河游艇旅游码头。

Shandong Maritime Vocational College is approved by the People's Government of Shandong Province, and is the first mixed-ownership higher vocational college in China, hosted by the Weifang Municipal People's Government with the participation of social forces. It is a pilot unit for mixed-ownership reform in vocational colleges in Shandong Province, the chairman and secretary-general unit of the National Vocational Education Mixed-Ownership School-Running Research Alliance, and a joint training partner of Ocean University of China. Located in Weifang, the World Kite Capital, it stands beside the Bohai Sea and Laizhou Bay, adjacent to Weifang Port, a national first-class open port, and the Bailang River Yacht Tourist Terminal.

学校占地1216.5亩，建筑面积33.5万平方米，教学仪器设备值0.899亿元，设有航海学院、机电工程学院、港航管理学院等10个二级学院，开设航海技术、轮机工程技术、港口与航运管理等43个专业。其混合所有制办学改革走在全国前列，构建了“山海模式”多元办学格局，通过校企协同育人机制，培养现代海洋产业亟需的高素质技术技能人才，拥有山东省高职院校品牌专业群1个、国家级骨干专业2个，荣获国家级教学成果奖二等奖等多项荣誉。

The college covers an area of 1216.5 mu with a building area of 335,000 square meters and teaching equipment worth 89.9 million yuan. It has 10 secondary colleges including the College of Navigation, College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and College of Port and Shipping Management, offering 43 majors such as Navigation Technology, Marine Engineering Technology, and Port and Shipping Management. Its mixed-ownership school-running reform leads the country, establishing a "Shan-Hai Model" multi-subject school-running pattern. Through school-enterprise collaborative education mechanisms, it cultivates high-quality technical talents urgently needed by the modern marine industry. It boasts 1 brand professional group of higher vocational colleges in Shandong Province, 2 national key majors, and has won many honors including the second prize of National Teaching Achievement Award.
