山东力明科技职业学院前身为1985年创建的山东中西医结合大学，是新中国成立后第一所民办医科大学。2001年经教育部备案、山东省人民政府批准，更名为山东力明科技职业学院，纳入国家计划内统招，成为以中西医结合为特色，集医学、理工、经管、艺术等多学科于一体的全日制普通高等职业院校，主管部门为山东省教育厅。

Shandong Liming Vocational College of Science and Technology was formerly Shandong University of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, founded in 1985, which was the first private medical university established after the founding of the People's Republic of China. In 2001, with the approval of the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Shandong Province, it was renamed Shandong Liming Vocational College of Science and Technology and incorporated into the national unified enrollment plan. It has become a full-time ordinary higher vocational college with integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine as its characteristic, integrating multiple disciplines such as medicine, science and engineering, economics and management, and art, under the supervision of the Shandong Provincial Department of Education.

学院主校区位于山东省泰安市，另在济南设有校区，总规划用地3000亩，建筑面积42万平方米，拥有126.49万册藏书及总值超亿元的实验教学设备。开设65个统招专业，其中临床医学、口腔医学、软件技术为省级特色专业，建有中药博物馆、人体奥妙博物馆等山东省科普教育基地，并与省立医院等知名医疗机构开展校企合作，形成“学历教育+技能培养”的办学模式，2025年GDI综合指数排名全国专科院校第876位。

The college's main campus is located in Tai'an City, Shandong Province, with another campus in Jinan. The total planned land area is 3,000 mu, with a building area of 420,000 square meters, 1.2649 million books in the library, and experimental teaching equipment worth over 100 million yuan. It offers 65 unified enrollment majors, among which clinical medicine, stomatology, and software technology are provincial-level characteristic majors. It has built Shandong Provincial Popular Science Education Bases such as the Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum and the Human Body Mystery Museum, and carries out school-enterprise cooperation with well-known medical institutions such as Provincial Hospital, forming a school-running model of "academic education + skill training". In 2025, its GDI comprehensive index ranked 876th among national junior colleges.
