山东管理学院是一所具有红色基因的省属公办普通本科高校，其前身是1938年创建于革命老区沂水县的山东省总工会干部学校，历经山东省工会管理干部学院等发展阶段，2013年经教育部批准改建为普通本科高校并更现名。学校坐落于泉城济南，现有长清、历城两个校区，总占地面积73.08万平方米，建筑面积30.97万平方米，是省级文明校园，育人环境优美，办学条件完备。

Shandong Management University is a public ordinary undergraduate university with red gene background in Shandong Province. Its predecessor was Shandong Provincial Federation of Trade Unions Cadre School founded in Yishui County, an old revolutionary base area, in 1938. After going through development stages such as Shandong Institute of Trade Union Management Cadres, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to be restructured into an ordinary undergraduate university and renamed to its current name in 2013. Located in Jinan, the Spring City, the university has two campuses in Changqing and Licheng, covering a total area of 730,800 square meters with a building area of 309,700 square meters. It is a provincial civilized campus with beautiful educational environment and complete办学条件.

学校以管理学科为主体，形成管、经、工、文、艺等多学科协调发展的学科专业体系，现有33个本科专业、11个专科专业，面向全国18个省（市、自治区）招生，全日制在校生12800余人。师资队伍结构合理，现有教职工816人，其中专任教师600人，高级专业技术职务教师237人，双师型教师237人，博士、硕士学位教师占比91.18%。

With management disciplines as the main body, the university has formed a disciplinary professional system featuring coordinated development of management, economics, engineering, literature, art and other disciplines. Currently, it offers 33 undergraduate majors and 11 junior college majors, enrolling students from 18 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) across the country, with more than 12,800 full-time students. The faculty structure is reasonable, with 816 teaching staff, including 600 full-time teachers, 237 teachers with senior professional technical positions, 237 double-qualified teachers, and 91.18% of teachers with doctoral or master's degrees.

学校坚持“依托工会，突出特色”的办学方针，是全国唯一一所具有工会背景的省属本科高校，建有山东省工会干部培训基地、工会理论研究基地等平台，在劳动关系、工会工作等领域形成鲜明办学特色。近年来荣获“全国工会干部教育培训示范校”“山东省富民兴鲁劳动奖状”等多项荣誉称号。

Adhering to the school-running policy of "relying on trade unions and highlighting characteristics", the university is the only provincial undergraduate university with trade union background in China. It has built platforms such as Shandong Provincial Trade Union Cadre Training Base and Trade Union Theory Research Base, forming distinct school-running characteristics in the fields of labor relations and trade union work. In recent years, it has won many honorary titles such as "National Model School for Trade Union Cadre Education and Training" and "Shandong Provincial Labor Award for Enriching People and Prosperizing Shandong".
