山东警察学院位于山东省济南市，前身为1946年创建的山东省警官学校，是中国共产党创建的第一所警官学校。70多年来，学校三迁校址、十易校名，为不同历史时期的公安事业作出重大贡献。1978年开始招收青年学生并举办中专教育，1983年改建为山东公安专科学校，2004年升格为本科院校并更名为山东警察学院。作为全日制公安类普通高等学校，实行山东省教育厅与公安厅共管、以公安厅为主的管理体制，主要承担公安专业人才培养、民警培训和警务研究任务。

Shandong Police College is located in Jinan, Shandong Province. Its predecessor, Shandong Police Officer School founded in 1946, was the first police school established by the Communist Party of China. Over the past 70 years, the college has relocated three times and changed its name ten times, making significant contributions to public security undertakings in different historical periods. It began enrolling young students for secondary vocational education in 1978, was restructured into Shandong Public Security College in 1983, and upgraded to an undergraduate institution named Shandong Police College in 2004. As a full-time public security higher education institution, it operates under the joint management of Shandong Provincial Department of Education and Public Security Department, with the latter taking the lead. Its main responsibilities include cultivating public security professionals, training police officers, and conducting policing research.

学校现有明水和文化东路两个校区，占地1600亩，校舍总面积30.43万平方米。设有侦查学、治安学等8个本科专业，其中治安学、经济犯罪侦查为国家级一流本科专业建设点。拥有教职工574人，包括国务院特殊津贴专家、山东省教学名师等高层次人才，建有53个实验室及90个教学实习基地。图书馆纸质藏书93.5万册，电子图书115.74万册，为教学科研提供有力支撑。2021年被确定为山东省应用型本科高校建设首批支持高校，2024年成为硕士学位授予立项建设单位。

The college has two campuses (Mingshui and Wenhua East Road) covering an area of 1,600 mu, with a total building area of 304,300 square meters. It offers 8 undergraduate majors including Investigation Studies and Public Security Studies, among which Public Security Studies and Economic Crime Investigation are national first-class undergraduate major construction sites. The faculty consists of 574 staff members, including high-level talents such as experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council and Shandong Provincial Teaching Masters. The college has 53 laboratories and 90 teaching practice bases. The library houses 935,000 paper books and 1,157,400 e-books, providing strong support for teaching and research. In 2021, it was identified as one of the first supported universities for applied undergraduate construction in Shandong Province, and in 2024, it became a project construction unit for master's degree authorization.
