山东轻工职业学院是淄博市人民政府主办的全日制综合性高等职业院校。学校始建于1960年，其前身是山东省丝绸工业学校，2006年升格为山东丝绸纺织职业学院，2014年更名为山东轻工职业学院，2023年挂牌成立淄博开放大学。

Shandong Vocational College of Light Industry is a full-time comprehensive higher vocational college sponsored by the Zibo Municipal People's Government. Founded in 1960, its predecessor was Shandong Silk Industry School. It was upgraded to Shandong Silk and Textile Vocational College in 2006, renamed Shandong Vocational College of Light Industry in 2014, and listed as Zibo Open University in 2023.

学校设有机电工程系、信息工程系、艺术设计系、国际时尚学院等9个二级系院，开设人工智能技术应用、服装设计与工艺、智能制造装备技术等35个高职专业，其中5个联合培养本科专业，在校生1.4万余人。现有教职工695人，其中高级教师158人，专任教师中硕士及以上学位占比89.5%。

The college has 9 secondary departments and schools, including the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Department of Information Engineering, Department of Art and Design, and International Fashion College. It offers 35 higher vocational majors such as Artificial Intelligence Technology Application, Clothing Design and Technology, and Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment Technology, including 5 jointly cultivated undergraduate majors, with over 14,000 students. There are 695 faculty members, including 158 senior teachers, and 89.5% of full-time teachers have master's degrees or above.

学校是国家纺织服装人才培训基地，全国丝绸、通信网络、数字商贸3个全国性行业产教融合共同体牵头发起单位，先后荣获中国纺织行业产教融合先进院校、山东省文明校园等荣誉称号。建有国际时尚学院等3所混合所有制二级学院，校企合作单位615家，形成"校企共营、专业共建、人才共育、团队共长、资源共享"的产教融合"五共"模式。

It is a national textile and apparel talent training base and the leading initiator of three national industry-education integration communities in silk, communication networks, and digital commerce. It has successively won honors such as Advanced College for Industry-Education Integration in China's Textile Industry and Shandong Civilized Campus. The college has established 3 mixed-ownership secondary colleges including the International Fashion College, cooperating with 615 enterprises, forming an industry-education integration "Five Co-" model featuring "co-management of schools and enterprises, co-construction of majors, co-cultivation of talents, co-growth of teams, and resource sharing".

学校坚持开放办学，与俄罗斯、意大利等10个国家（地区）的17所高校建立合作关系，2024年挂牌成立柬埔寨—班墨学院，推进职教国际化。成立山东省首个高职院校非遗学院，打造"青悠坊"等非遗文创品牌，"三转一响"博物馆荣获全国优秀工业遗产保护利用示范案例。

Adhering to open education, the college has established cooperative relations with 17 universities in 10 countries/regions including Russia and Italy. In 2024, it established the Cambodia-Banmo College to promote vocational education internationalization. It founded Shandong's first intangible cultural heritage (ICH) college among vocational colleges, creating ICH cultural and creative brands such as "Qingyoufang". Its "Three Turns and One Ring" Museum was awarded a national excellent industrial heritage protection and utilization demonstration case.
