山东第二医科大学是山东省省属全日制普通高等医学院校，坐落于山东半岛中部闻名遐迩的世界风筝都—潍坊市。学校历史溯源于19世纪末20世纪初潍县乐道院设立的乐道院医护学校和潍县美国长老会医院。1951年筹建山东省昌潍医士学校，1958年改建为昌潍医学院，1987年更名为潍坊医学院，2023年11月经教育部批准更名为山东第二医科大学。

Shandong Second Medical University is a provincial full-time public medical college located in Weifang, the world-famous kite capital in the central part of Shandong Peninsula. The university traces its roots to the Ledao Hospital Nursing School and Weixian American Presbyterian Hospital established at the Weixian Ledao Compound in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In 1951, it was founded as Shandong Changwei Medical School, restructured into Changwei Medical College in 1958, renamed Weifang Medical College in 1987, and approved by the Ministry of Education to adopt its current name in November 2023.

学校现有浮烟山和虞河两个校区，占地面积约2000亩，建筑面积71万余平方米。设有19个学院、34个本科专业，涵盖医学、理学、管理学等7大学科门类，拥有博士学位授权一级学科1个、硕士学位授权一级学科10个、硕士专业学位授权点9个。临床医学学科位列ESI全球前5‰，药理学与毒理学学科位列ESI全球前1%，是全国卓越医生教育培养计划项目试点高校、山东省应用型人才培养特色建设单位。

The university has two campuses, Fuyan Mountain and Yuhe, covering an area of approximately 2000 mu with a building area of over 710,000 square meters. It comprises 19 colleges offering 34 undergraduate programs spanning 7 disciplines including medicine, science, and management. The university boasts 1 first-level discipline for doctoral degree authorization, 10 first-level disciplines for master's degree authorization, and 9 professional master's degree authorization points. Its Clinical Medicine discipline ranks in the top 5‰ of ESI globally, and Pharmacology & Toxicology ranks in the top 1% of ESI globally. It is a pilot university for the National Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program and a characteristic construction unit for applied talent cultivation in Shandong Province.

学校师资力量雄厚，现有教职工1500余人，中国工程院院士谢立信、于金明和加拿大医学科学院、皇家科学院院士王睿担任名誉校长。建校70余年来，培养了以3名院士为代表的20万余名优秀医学人才，形成了"重医德、厚基础、强能力"的人才培养特色，拥有直属附属医院3所、非直属附属医院11所，为区域医疗卫生事业发展作出重要贡献。

The university has a strong faculty of over 1,500 staff, with academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Xielixin, Yu Jinming, and academician of the Canadian Academy of Medical Sciences and Royal Society of Canada Wang Rui serving as honorary presidents. Over 70 years of establishment, it has cultivated more than 200,000 outstanding medical talents represented by 3 academicians, forming a talent cultivation characteristic of "emphasizing medical ethics, solid foundation, and strong ability". It has 3 directly affiliated hospitals and 11 non-directly affiliated hospitals, making important contributions to regional medical and health undertakings.
