山东政法学院坐落在历史文化名城济南，是由山东省人民政府举办的全日制普通本科高校，以法学为特色和优势，兼有经济学、管理学、文学、工学等多学科协调发展。学校前身是创建于1955年的山东省政法干部学校，历经山东省司法管理干部学院、山东省政法管理干部学院等发展阶段，2007年正式更名为山东政法学院，校名由时任山东省委第一书记舒同先生题写。

Shandong University of Political Science and Law (SDUPSL) is located in Jinan, a famous historical and cultural city. It is a full-time public undergraduate university sponsored by the Shandong Provincial People's Government, featuring law as its dominant discipline with coordinated development of economics, management, literature, engineering and other disciplines. The university originated from Shandong Provincial Political and Legal Cadre School founded in 1955, and has gone through development stages such as Shandong Provincial Judicial Management Cadre College and Shandong Provincial Political and Legal Management Cadre College. It was officially renamed Shandong University of Political Science and Law in 2007, with the school name inscribed by Mr. Shu Tong, then Secretary of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee.

学校以“博学笃行、刚健中正”为校训，构建了“法为核心、分类建设、交叉融合”的学科专业体系，现有法学、知识产权、监狱学等24个本科专业，其中国家级一流本科专业建设点3个，省级特色专业4个。法学学科是省属高校中首个拥有法学学科三重点建设项目的学科，法学教学实训中心为山东省高等学校实验教学示范中心。学校面向全国招生，全日制在校生12000余人，已为社会培养各类优秀人才16万余名，被誉为“齐鲁政法人才摇篮”。

With the motto "Erudition and Practice, Uprightness and Integrity", the university has established a disciplinary system of "law as the core, classified development and interdisciplinary integration". It offers 24 undergraduate majors including Law, Intellectual Property, and Prison Science, with 3 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites and 4 provincial characteristic majors. The Law discipline is the first in provincial universities to have three key construction projects of law disciplines, and the Legal Teaching Training Center is a provincial experimental teaching demonstration center of Shandong colleges and universities. Enrolling students nationwide, the university has over 12,000 full-time students and has cultivated more than 160,000 outstanding talents for society, known as "the cradle of political and legal talents in Qilu".
