山东工商学院是一所财经特色鲜明、多学科协调发展的省属普通本科高校，坐落于“中国最佳魅力城市”——山东省烟台市。学校始建于1984年，原名中国煤炭经济学院，2003年更名为山东工商学院，2013年获批硕士学位授予单位，2017年被山东省人民政府确定为山东省应用型人才培养特色名校立项建设单位。

Shandong Technology and Business University is a provincial public undergraduate university with distinct financial and economic characteristics and coordinated development of multiple disciplines, located in Yantai City, Shandong Province, known as "China's Most Charming City". Founded in 1984, the university was originally named China Coal Economic College, renamed Shandong Technology and Business University in 2003, approved as a master's degree-granting unit in 2013, and identified as a project construction unit of Shandong Province's application-oriented talent training characteristic university by the People's Government of Shandong Province in 2017.

学校以经济学、管理学、工学为主，兼有文学、法学、理学、艺术学等7个学科门类，形成了以经济管理为特色，经管工相互支撑、协调发展的学科专业体系。现有19个二级学院（部），60个本科专业，拥有应用经济学、工商管理、计算机科学与技术等7个一级学科硕士学位授权点和11个专业硕士学位授权类别，全日制本专科生、研究生及留学生2万余人。

The university mainly focuses on economics, management, and engineering, with 7 disciplines including literature, law, science, and art, forming a disciplinary and professional system featuring economic management, with mutual support and coordinated development of economics, management, and engineering. It currently has 19 secondary colleges (departments), 60 undergraduate majors, 7 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points such as applied economics, business administration, and computer science and technology, and 11 professional master's degree authorization categories, with more than 20,000 full-time undergraduate and junior college students, postgraduates, and international students.

学校始终坚持立德树人根本任务，深化教育教学改革，着力培养高素质应用型人才。近年来，获国家级教学成果奖2项，省级教学成果奖30余项；拥有国家级一流本科专业建设点14个，省级一流本科专业建设点20个，国家级特色专业4个，省级特色专业11个。毕业生就业率连续多年保持在全省高校前列，用人单位满意度持续提升，获评“全国毕业生就业典型经验高校”“山东省就业创业工作先进集体”。

The university has always adhered to the fundamental task of cultivating virtues and talents, deepened educational and teaching reforms, and strived to cultivate high-quality applied talents. 学校高度重视科研创新和社会服务，建有多个省部级科研平台，其中“智能信息处理实验室”“未来智能金融研究院”等为山东省重点实验室和人文社科研究基地。近五年，承担国家级科研项目50余项，省部级科研项目300余项，获省部级以上科研奖励40余项，多项成果被国家有关部门和地方政府采纳应用，为区域经济社会发展作出了积极贡献。

The university attaches great importance to scientific research innovation and social services, and has established a number of provincial and ministerial-level scientific research platforms, among which "Intelligent Information Processing Laboratory" and "Future Intelligent Finance Research Institute" are key laboratories and humanities and social sciences research bases in Shandong Province. In the past five years, it has undertaken more than 50 national-level scientific research projects and more than 300 provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects, won more than 40 scientific research awards above the provincial and ministerial level, and many achievements have been adopted and applied by relevant national departments and local governments, making positive contributions to regional economic and social development.
