上海海关学院是海关总署唯一直属的全日制本科高等学校，前身为1953年创建的上海海关学校。1980年经国务院批准升格为上海海关专科学校，1996年更名为上海海关高等专科学校，2007年3月经教育部批准设立上海海关学院。学校坐落于上海市浦东新区，占地面积521亩，以培养海关管理、公共经济、国际贸易等领域高素质应用型人才为特色。

Shanghai Customs College is the only full-time undergraduate institution directly under the General Administration of Customs. Its predecessor was the Shanghai Customs School founded in 1953. Approved by the State Council, it was upgraded to Shanghai Customs Junior College in 1980, renamed Shanghai Customs College in 1996, and officially established as Shanghai Customs College with undergraduate status in March 2007 upon approval by the Ministry of Education. Located in Pudong New Area, Shanghai, the college covers an area of 521 mu and specializes in cultivating high-quality applied talents in customs management, public economy, international trade and related fields.

学校2018年获批硕士学位授予单位，现有公共管理、税务、国际商务等硕士专业学位授权点，海关管理专业为世界海关组织PICARD标准认证专业。2019年起实行海关总署与上海市共建机制，2023年获高等教育国家级教学成果奖二等奖，2024年新增国家安全学一级学科硕士点和数字经济专业学位点，形成覆盖本科、硕士的多层次办学体系。

The college was accredited as a master's degree-granting unit in 2018, offering professional master's programs in Public Administration, Taxation, and International Business. Its Customs Management program is certified by the WCO PICARD standards. Since 2019, it has operated under a joint construction mechanism by the General Administration of Customs and Shanghai Municipal Government. In 2023, it won the Second Prize of National Teaching Achievement Awards in Higher Education (Undergraduate). With the addition of the first-level discipline master's program in National Security Studies and the professional degree program in Digital Economy in 2024, the college has formed a multi-level educational system covering undergraduate and postgraduate education.
