四川大学是中国教育部直属全国重点大学，是国家“双一流”（A类）、“985工程”“211工程”重点建设高校，坐落于素有“天府之国”美誉的历史文化名城成都。学校由原四川大学、原成都科技大学、原华西医科大学三所全国重点大学经过两次合并而成，积淀了深厚的历史底蕴和丰富的办学经验，形成了文、理、工、医为主，多学科协调发展的学科专业体系。

Sichuan University is a key national university directly under the Ministry of Education of China, and a key construction university of the national "Double First-Class" (Class A), "985 Project" and "211 Project". It is located in Chengdu, a famous historical and cultural city known as the "Land of Abundance". The university was formed by the merger of three national key universities: the former Sichuan University, the former Chengdu University of Science and Technology, and the former West China University of Medical Sciences. It has accumulated profound historical heritage and rich school-running experience, forming a discipline system dominated by liberal arts, science, engineering, and medicine, with coordinated development of multiple disciplines.

学校现有望江、华西和江安三个校区，占地面积7050亩，校舍建筑面积280余万平方米。设有36个学科型学院（系）及研究生院、海外教育学院等学院，开设本科专业136个，覆盖了文、理、工、医、经、管、法、史、哲、农、教、艺等12个门类。学校师资力量雄厚，现有专任教师6000余人，其中中国科学院和中国工程院院士23人，国家杰出青年科学基金获得者等国家级人才300余人。

The university currently has three campuses: Wangjiang, Huaxi and Jiang'an, covering an area of 7,050 mu, with a school building area of more than 2.8 million square meters. It has 36 discipline-based colleges (departments), as well as graduate school, overseas education college and other colleges, offering 136 undergraduate majors, covering 12 categories including liberal arts, science, engineering, medicine, economics, management, law, history, philosophy, agriculture, education, and art. The university has a strong faculty, with more than 6,000 full-time teachers, including 23 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and more than 300 national-level talents such as winners of the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund.
