沈阳建筑大学是以建筑、土木等学科为特色，以工为主，工、管、理、文、农、法、艺等多学科协调发展的省部共建高等学校，是国家住房和城乡建设部与辽宁省人民政府共建高校，辽宁省一流大学重点建设高校。学校始建于1948年，前身为中国人民解放军东北军区军工部工业专门学校（东北兵工专门学校），历经东北建筑工程学校、沈阳建筑材料工业学院、辽宁建筑工程学院等发展阶段，2004年更名为沈阳建筑大学。

Shenyang Jianzhu University is a province-ministerial co-constructed university with architecture and civil engineering as its特色 disciplines, focusing on engineering and coordinated development of multiple disciplines including engineering, management, science, liberal arts, agriculture, law, and art. It is a university jointly built by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the People's Government of Liaoning Province, and a key construction university of Liaoning Provincial First-Class University. Founded in 1948, the university formerly known as the Industrial Specialized School of the Northeast Military Region Ordnance Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (Northeast Ordnance Specialized School), has gone through development stages such as Northeast Architectural Engineering School, Shenyang Institute of Building Materials Industry, Liaoning Institute of Architectural Engineering, and was renamed Shenyang Jianzhu University in 2004.

学校拥有博士学位授权一级学科6个，硕士学位授权一级学科24个，硕士专业学位授权点16个。现有教职工1700余人，其中博士、硕士生导师1000余人，国家“万人计划”领军人才、国家杰出青年科学基金获得者等国家级人才30余人。全日制在校生2万余人，其中本科生1.6万余人，博士、硕士研究生5000余人。

The university has 6 first-level disciplines authorized for doctoral degrees, 24 first-level disciplines authorized for master's degrees, and 16 master's professional degree authorization points. Currently, it has more than 1,700 faculty members, including over 1,000 doctoral and master supervisors, and more than 30 national-level talents such as leading talents of the National "Ten Thousand Talents Program" and winners of the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund. There are more than 20,000 full-time students, including over 16,000 undergraduates and more than 5,000 doctoral and master students.
