Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra is a long-established agricultural higher education institution located in Nitra, the capital of Nitra Region in southwestern Slovakia. Founded in 1941 as the Faculty of Agriculture within the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, it became an independent institution in 1952 and adopted its current name in 1996. As one of the three public universities in Nitra Region, the university focuses on agricultural sciences and has achieved numerous internationally leading research outcomes in agricultural ecological technology and agricultural machinery, serving as a core institution for agricultural education and research in Slovakia.

Leveraging the abundant agricultural resources of Nitra Region (which has the largest agricultural land area in Slovakia, approximately 464,000 hectares), the university has developed a comprehensive disciplinary system covering crop cultivation, animal husbandry, and agricultural engineering. The campus maintains close ties with local communities, actively promotes the transformation of research achievements, and expands its influence through international cooperation networks. In the 2024 QS World University Rankings by Subject, its Plant Sciences program ranked in the 201-250 range globally, representing Slovakia's top expertise in this field.
