三明学院是福建省人民政府举办的全日制普通本科高校，坐落于福建省三明市。学校办学历史可追溯到1903年创办的全闽师范学堂，2004年5月经教育部批准成立。作为福建省一流应用型建设高校、硕士学位授予培育单位，学校以“做强工科、做优师范、做特文科”为导向，形成工学、管理学、艺术学、文学、理学、教育学等多学科协调发展的学科专业体系，现有14个二级学院、53个本科专业，全日制本科生近1.5万人。

Sanming University is a full-time public undergraduate institution sponsored by the Fujian Provincial People's Government, located in Sanming City, Fujian Province. Tracing its roots back to the Quanmin Normal School founded in 1903, it was officially established with the approval of the Ministry of Education in May 2004. As a first-class applied construction university in Fujian Province and a cultivation unit for master's degree authorization, the university adheres to the orientation of "strengthening engineering, optimizing teacher education, and developing distinctive liberal arts", forming a disciplinary system with coordinated development of engineering, management, art, literature, science, education and other disciplines. It currently has 14 secondary colleges, 53 undergraduate majors, and nearly 15,000 full-time undergraduates.

学校校园占地面积1429亩，教学科研仪器设备总值约3.1亿元，馆藏纸质图书187.4万册。拥有国家级一流本科专业建设点、国家级特色专业等优质专业，以及省级重点学科6个、省级科技创新团队和教学团队11个。近年来，学生在各类学科竞赛中获国家级奖项超千项，毕业生年终毕业去向落实率保持在95%以上，为区域经济社会发展输送了大量应用型人才。

The university covers an area of 1429 mu, with teaching and research equipment worth approximately 310 million yuan and 1.874 million paper books in its collection. It boasts high-quality programs such as national first-class undergraduate major construction sites and national characteristic majors, along with 6 provincial key disciplines and 11 provincial-level scientific and technological innovation teams and teaching teams. In recent years, students have won over a thousand national awards in various academic competitions, and the employment rate of graduates has remained above 95%, providing a large number of applied talents for regional economic and social development.
