商丘学院是经教育部批准的全日制民办普通本科高校，前身为2002年创办的河南农业大学华豫学院，2011年转设为独立设置的民办本科院校。学校坐落于“三商之源、华商之都”——河南省商丘市，秉承“弘德明志、知行合一”的校训，以应用型人才培养为核心，形成了工、农、管、艺、文、教、理、经等多学科协调发展的办学格局。

Shangqiu University is a full-time private general undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was Huayu College of Henan Agricultural University founded in 2002, and it was transformed into an independently established private undergraduate institution in 2011. Located in Shangqiu City, Henan Province, known as "the source of the three merchants and the capital of Chinese merchants", the university adheres to the school motto of "Promoting Virtue and Clarifying Aspirations, Unity of Knowledge and Action", focuses on applied talent cultivation, and has formed a multidisciplinary development pattern covering engineering, agriculture, management, art, literature, education, science, economics and other fields.

学校现有机械与电气信息学院、计算机工程学院、风景园林与建筑学院等15个教学单位，开设47个本科专业和31个专科专业。校园占地2829亩，实施生态和谐校园建设工程，校内绿树成荫、四季花开，湖面碧波涟漪，是读书治学的理想园地。近年来，学校获批河南省重点学科、一流专业建设点等省级教学工程项目71项，2020年通过教育部本科教学工作合格评估，2021年获批硕士学位授予立项建设单位。

The university currently has 15 teaching units including the School of Mechanical and Electrical Information, School of Computer Engineering, School of Landscape Architecture and Architecture, offering 47 undergraduate majors and 31 junior college majors. Covering an area of 2829 mu, the campus has implemented an ecological and harmonious campus construction project, with green trees and flowers blooming all year round, and rippling lake surfaces, making it an ideal place for studying and academic research. In recent years, the university has been approved for 71 provincial-level teaching projects such as Henan Provincial Key Disciplines and First-class Professional Construction Sites. It passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education in 2020 and was approved as a master's degree granting project construction unit in 2021.
