石家庄铁道大学是河北省重点骨干大学，国家“中西部高校基础能力建设工程”入选高校。学校前身是创建于1950年的中国人民解放军铁道兵工程学院，2010年更名为石家庄铁道大学。学校以工为主，工、理、管、经、文、法、艺等多学科协调发展，在土木工程、交通运输工程、机械工程等领域具有较强的学科优势和科研实力。

Shijiazhuang Tiedao University is a key backbone university in Hebei Province and a selected university for the "Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in Central and Western China". Founded in 1950 as the Railway Corps Engineering College of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, it was renamed Shijiazhuang Tiedao University in 2010. With engineering as its main focus, the university develops coordinatedly in multiple disciplines such as science, management, economics, literature, law, and art, and has strong disciplinary advantages and scientific research strength in fields like civil engineering, transportation engineering, and mechanical engineering.

学校始终坚持立德树人根本任务，培养了大批适应社会发展需要的高素质人才。校园占地约1200亩，拥有现代化的教学科研设施和完善的学生生活服务体系。近年来，学校积极推进产学研合作，承担了多项国家级、省部级科研项目，为国家交通基础设施建设和区域经济社会发展作出了重要贡献。

The university always adheres to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and has cultivated a large number of high-quality talents meeting the needs of social development. Covering an area of approximately 1,200 mu, the campus boasts modern teaching and research facilities and a sound student life service system. In recent years, the university has actively promoted industry-university-research cooperation, undertaken numerous national and provincial-level scientific research projects, and made important contributions to national transportation infrastructure construction and regional economic and social development.
