苏州大学应用技术学院创办于1997年，举办高校为苏州大学。学院位于昆山，地处长三角区域一体化发展地带，距苏州大学独墅湖校区20公里，毗邻苏州工业园区、昆山经济技术开发区、花桥国际商务城和吴江高新技术开发区。学院在校生9900多人，设有28个本科专业，其中服装设计与工程、电气工程及其自动化两个专业获批江苏高校一流本科专业建设点，服装设计与工程获批江苏省产教融合型品牌专业建设点，服装与服饰设计获批江苏高校品牌专业建设工程项目。

Founded in 1997, Applied Technology College of Soochow University is affiliated with Soochow University. Located in Kunshan, a key area of the Yangtze River Delta Integration, the college is 20 kilometers away from Soochow University's Dushu Lake Campus, adjacent to Suzhou Industrial Park, Kunshan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Huaqiao International Business City, and Wujiang High-tech Development Zone. With over 9,900 students, it offers 28 undergraduate programs. Among them, Fashion Design and Engineering, as well as Electrical Engineering and Automation, have been approved as first-class undergraduate program construction sites in Jiangsu Province. Fashion Design and Engineering is also recognized as a Jiangsu provincial industry-education integration brand program, while Clothing and Apparel Design is part of the Jiangsu university brand program construction project.

近年来，学院积极把握国家引导一批普通本科高校向应用技术型高校转型的战略机遇，统筹推行ISO9001质量管理体系和卓越绩效管理模式，获评苏州市质量奖；以获批加入应用技术大学联盟、入选首批教育部ICT产教融合创新基地院校、互联网+中国制造2025产教融合促进计划试点院校为契机，积极配合昆山科技创新和产业创新深度融合发展，实施创新驱动发展战略，探索为经济建设和社会发展服务的有效途径，力争将学院办成特色鲜明的高水平应用技术大学。

In recent years, the college has actively seized the national strategic opportunity to transform some ordinary undergraduate universities into application-oriented institutions. It has implemented the ISO9001 quality management system and performance excellence model, winning the Suzhou Quality Award. As a member of the Application-Oriented University Alliance, a pilot institution of the Ministry of Education's ICT Industry-Education Integration Innovation Base, and a participant in the "Internet + Made in China 2025" Industry-Education Integration Promotion Plan, the college actively aligns with Kunshan's deep integration of technological and industrial innovation.
