陕西国防工业职业技术学院是一所公办全日制普通高等职业院校，坐落于陕西省西安市鄠邑区，始建于1958年，是国家“一五”期间国防科技工业配套项目建设院校。学校曾先后隶属于中国第三、第五机械工业部、兵器工业部等国防工业部门，2001年升格为高职学院，现为国家“双高计划”建设单位、国家示范性骨干高职院校，以军工特色鲜明著称。

Shaanxi Institute of National Defense Industry is a public full-time higher vocational college located in Huyi District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province. Founded in 1958, it was a supporting project construction college for national defense science and technology industry during the "First Five-Year Plan" period. The college was once affiliated to national defense industry departments such as the Third and Fifth Machinery Industry Departments and the Ordnance Industry Department of China. Upgraded to a higher vocational college in 2001, it is now a national "Double-High Plan" construction unit and a national demonstration backbone higher vocational college, famous for its distinctive military industry characteristics.

学校占地1003亩，设有14个教学单位，开设58个专业，其中国家双高计划专业群1个、教育部骨干专业7个。现有教职工900余人，副高以上职称338人，双师素质教师485人；在校生17000余人，形成了以机电一体化技术、软件技术为引领，军工电子、能源动力等专业群协同发展的格局。建成全国唯一的国家级军工文化教育基地，30%以上毕业生服务于军工企业，学生参军人数连续五年居全省高校首位。

Covering an area of 1003 mu, the college has 14 teaching units and offers 58 majors, including 1 national Double-High Plan major group and 7 backbone majors of the Ministry of Education. There are more than 900 faculty members, including 338 with associate senior titles or above and 485 with double-qualified qualities; over 17,000 students. It has formed a development pattern led by mechatronics technology and software technology, with coordinated development of military electronics, energy and power major groups. The college has built the only national-level military industry culture education base in China, with over 30% of graduates serving military enterprises, and the number of students joining the army has ranked first among colleges and universities in the province for five consecutive years.

学校坚持“立德树人”，构建“人民兵工精神+‘忠博武毅’国防职教精神”育人模式，拥有国家级实训基地6个、省级重点专业14个，图书馆纸质藏书近百万册。先后荣获“全国国防教育特色学校”“爱国拥军模范单位”等称号，为国防科技工业和地方经济培养了15万余名技术技能人才，涌现出长江学者、全国五一劳动奖章获得者等大批行业领军人才。

Adhering to the principle of "Establishing Morality and Cultivating People", the college has constructed an education model of "People's Ordnance Spirit + 'Loyalty, Erudition, Bravery and Perseverance' National Defense Vocational Education Spirit". It has 6 national-level training bases and 14 provincial-level key majors, with nearly one million paper books in the library. It has successively won titles such as "National Defense Education Characteristic School" and "Model Unit for Patriotic Support of the Military". It has cultivated more than 150,000 technical and skilled talents for national defense science and technology industry and local economy, emerging a large number of industry leaders including Yangtze River Scholars and winners of the National May 1st Labor Medal.
