山西警官职业学院是一所为政法系统培养、培训人民警察的高职院校，始建于1964年4月，历经山西省公安技校、山西省公安学校、山西省劳改工作学校、山西省劳改警察学校、山西省第二人民警察学校等校名更迭。2004年5月20日，经山西省人民政府批准，在山西省第二人民警察学校基础上成立山西警官职业学院，由山西省人民政府领导、山西省监狱管理局管理。

Shanxi Police Vocational College is a higher vocational college that trains and educates people's police for the political and legal system. It was founded in April 1964 and has undergone several name changes, including Shanxi Public Security Technical School, Shanxi Public Security School, Shanxi Reform-through-Labor Work School, Shanxi Reform-through-Labor Police School, and Shanxi Second People's Police School. On May 20, 2004, approved by the People's Government of Shanxi Province, Shanxi Police Vocational College was established on the basis of Shanxi Second People's Police School, led by the People's Government of Shanxi Province and managed by the Shanxi Provincial Prison Administration Bureau.

学院现占地面积228.12亩，总建筑面积37770.13平方米，教学科研仪器设备总值1134万元，馆藏纸质图书26万余册。设有22个部门，教职工231人，专任教师88人（其中副高以上职称30人，硕士学位以上33人），在校生1889人。建有国家级职业教育实训基地1个、校内实验实训场所18个、校外实践教学基地33个，先后荣获“全国德育工作先进集体”“山西省德育示范学校”等多项荣誉称号。

The college currently covers an area of 228.12 mu with a total construction area of 37,770.13 square meters. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is 11.34 million yuan, and the collection of paper books exceeds 260,000 volumes. It has 22 departments, 231 faculty members, 88 full-time teachers (including 30 with associate senior titles or above and 33 with master's degrees or above), and 1,889 students. The college has 1 national vocational education training base, 18 on-campus experimental training sites, and 33 off-campus practical teaching bases. It has successively won many honorary titles such as "National Advanced Collective for Moral Education Work" and "Shanxi Provincial Model School for Moral Education".
