陕西农林职业技术大学是陕西省首所全日制公办本科层次职业学校，前身为1999年由原国家级重点中专陕西省农业学校、陕西省水利学校和省部级重点中专陕西省林业学校合并组建的杨凌职业技术学院，办学历史可追溯至1934年创办的国立西北农林专科学校附设高职，2025年6月经教育部批准正式设立。学校地处全国首个国家级农业高新技术产业示范区——杨凌，是国家首批示范高职院校、全国优质专科高职院校、中国特色高水平高职学校（双高校）建设单位，以农、林、水、牧为优势特色，理、工、管、经协调发展，开设68个招生专业，拥有国家级高水平专业群2个、省级高水平专业群7个，累计培养各类专业技术人才25万余名。

Shaanxi Vocational and Technical University of Agriculture and Forestry is the first full-time public undergraduate vocational university in Shaanxi Province. Its predecessor, Yangling Vocational and Technical College, was established in 1999 through the merger of the former national key technical secondary schools Shaanxi Agricultural School, Shaanxi Water Conservancy School, and provincial key technical secondary school Shaanxi Forestry School. With a history dating back to the attached vocational education of National Northwest Agricultural College founded in 1934, it was officially established as Shaanxi Vocational and Technical University of Agriculture and Forestry with the approval of the Ministry of Education in June 2025. Located in Yangling, China's first national agricultural high-tech industry demonstration zone, the university is a national first-class demonstration higher vocational college, a national high-quality junior college, and a construction unit of China's distinctive high-level vocational schools ("Double-High Plan"). It features strengths in agriculture, forestry, water conservancy, and animal husbandry, with coordinated development in science, engineering, management, and economics. Offering 68 enrollment majors, it has 2 national-level high-level professional groups and 7 provincial-level ones, having cultivated over 250,000 professional and technical talents.

学校秉持“经国本、解民生、尚科学”的办学理念和“明德强能、言物行恒”的校训，确立“以农为本、扎根陕西、服务西部、面向全国、走向世界”的办学定位，构建了“一体两翼”高素质农民育训体系，建立2个院士工作室、15个产业学院及多个科技创新平台，培育小麦、花椒等新品种40个，其中“武农系列”小麦品种推广面积超9000万亩。作为上合组织农业基地建设成员单位，学校招收多国留学生，建立海外分校和技术培训中心，积极服务“一带一路”农业技术合作与人才培养，致力于建设“中国特色、世界一流职业大学”。

Adhering to the educational philosophy of "Serving the country, addressing people's livelihood, and advocating science" and the school motto of "Virtue and ability, words and deeds consistent", the university has established its orientation as "Based on agriculture, rooted in Shaanxi, serving the west, facing the whole country, and going global". It has constructed an "One Body, Two Wings" training system for high-quality farmers, established 2 academician studios, 15 industrial colleges, and multiple scientific and technological innovation platforms. It has cultivated 40 new varieties such as wheat and Chinese prickly ash, among which the "Wunong Series" wheat varieties have been promoted over 90 million mu. As a member unit of the SCO Agricultural Base construction, the university enrolls international students from various countries, establishes overseas branches and technical training centers, actively serves the "Belt and Road" agricultural technology cooperation and talent cultivation, and is committed to building a "world-class vocational university with Chinese characteristics".
