山西青年职业学院是经国家教育部和山西省人民政府批准成立的全日制公办专科院校，前身为创建于1950年的共青团山西省委团校。作为山西省唯一培养青少年社会工作者和培训共青团干部的团属高校，学院历经多年发展，现已形成集高等职业技术教育、青年干部培训、青少年研究于一体的办学格局，主校区位于山西转型综合改革示范区太原市大昌南路17号。

Shanxi Youth Vocational College is a full-time public college approved by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Shanxi Province, with its predecessor being the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League School founded in 1950. As the only youth-affiliated college in Shanxi Province that cultivates youth social workers and trains Communist Youth League cadres, the college has developed into an educational institution integrating higher vocational and technical education, youth cadre training, and youth research after years of development, with its main campus located at No. 17 Dachang South Road, Taiyuan City, Shanxi Transformation and Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone.

学院以高职（专科）教育为主体，设社会工作系、财经系、管理系等六系二部一中心，开设19个招生专业，其中国家级骨干专业1个，省级重点、骨干专业5个。教学设施完善，图书馆藏书23万册，电子图书5.5万册，拥有省级重点实训基地4个，省内外实训基地200余家，为学生实践能力培养提供坚实保障，近年来年初就业率稳定在80%以上。

With higher vocational (junior college) education as its main body, the college has six departments including the Department of Social Work, Department of Finance and Economics, Department of Management, two divisions, and one center, offering 19 enrollment majors, including 1 national-level key major and 5 provincial-level key and backbone majors. It has complete teaching facilities, with a library collection of 230,000 books and 55,000 e-books, 4 provincial-level key training bases, and more than 200 training bases inside and outside the province, providing a solid guarantee for the cultivation of students' practical abilities. In recent years, the initial employment rate has stabilized above 80% at the beginning of the year.
