沈阳医学院是教育部批准设立的全日制普通高等学校，前身为1949年创建的沈阳市立高级护产学校，历经沈阳医学专科学校等发展阶段，1987年升格为本科院校，2001年迁入新校区。学校坚持“博学洁行、厚德济世”的校训，以培养面向基层、理论扎实、实践能力强的应用型医学人才为目标，已为国家输送八万余名优秀医学人才，包括第41届南丁格尔奖章获得者聂淑娟等杰出校友。

Shenyang Medical College is a full-time general higher education institution approved by the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was Shenyang Municipal Senior Midwifery School founded in 1949, which went through stages such as Shenyang Medical College. It was upgraded to an undergraduate college in 1987 and moved to the new campus in 2001. Adhering to the school motto of "Erudition, Purity, Virtue and Beneficence", the college aims to cultivate applied medical talents oriented to the grassroots with solid theory and strong practical ability, and has delivered more than 80,000 outstanding medical talents to the country, including outstanding alumni such as Nie Shujuan, winner of the 41st Nightingale Medal.

学校现有全日制在校生15455人，涵盖本科、专科、研究生及留学生。学科专业设置完善，拥有医学、理学等4个学科门类28个本科专业，其中国家级特色专业1个，辽宁省一流本科教育示范专业7个；硕士层面设有基础医学等2个一级学科硕士学位授权点及临床医学等2个专业硕士学位授权点。教学科研平台实力雄厚，建有辽宁省重点实验室8个，沈阳市重点实验室11个，并拥有5所直属附属医院及多个教学实践基地。

The college currently has 15,455 full-time students, covering undergraduates, junior college students, postgraduates and international students. The disciplines and majors are well-established, with 28 undergraduate majors in 4 disciplines including medicine and science, among which 1 is a national characteristic major and 7 are Liaoning Provincial first-class undergraduate education demonstration majors; at the master's level, there are 2 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points such as basic medicine and 2 professional master's degree authorization points such as clinical medicine. It has strong teaching and research platforms, including 8 Liaoning Provincial Key Laboratories, 11 Shenyang Key Laboratories, 5 directly affiliated hospitals and multiple teaching practice bases.
