沈阳大学是经教育部批准并面向全国招生的全日制普通高等学校，已发展成为一所以本科教育为主体，同时拥有博士、硕士研究生教育和继续教育、留学生教育，并具有博士后培养资格的综合性大学。学校主校区位于沈阳市大东区，有望花街、联合路2个校区，占地面积720亩，建筑面积50万平方米；设有17个教学院，在招本科专业54个，涵盖经、法、教、文、史、理、工、农、管、艺10个学科门类，现有各类全日制在校生1.7万余人。

Shenyang University is a full-time ordinary institution of higher education approved by the Ministry of Education and enrolling students nationwide. It has developed into a comprehensive university with undergraduate education as the main body, and also offers doctoral and master's degree education, continuing education, international student education, and has the qualification for postdoctoral training. The main campus is located in Dadong District, Shenyang, with two campuses: Wanghua Street and Lianhe Road, covering an area of 720 mu and a building area of 500,000 square meters. It has 17 teaching colleges and 54 undergraduate majors in enrollment, covering 10 disciplines including economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, management, and art, with more than 17,000 full-time students of various types.

学校现有服务国家特殊需求博士人才培养项目、教育部中外合作办学博士培养项目以及博士后科研工作站；拥有教育部重点实验室1个，辽宁省重点实验室、工程技术研究中心等15个，国家一流本科专业建设点9个，国家特色专业建设点1个。现有专任教师987人，其中百千万人才工程国家级人选1人，国务院政府特殊津贴专家、教育部高等学校教学指导委员会委员4人，辽宁省兴辽英才计划等各类高层次人才37人，沈阳市杰出、领军、拔尖高层次人才361人。

The university currently has doctoral talent training programs serving national special needs, Sino-foreign cooperative doctoral training programs approved by the Ministry of Education, and postdoctoral research workstations. It has 1 key laboratory of the Ministry of Education, 15 key laboratories and engineering technology research centers of Liaoning Province, 9 national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, and 1 national characteristic major construction site. There are 987 full-time teachers, including 1 national candidate for the Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talents Project, 4 experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council and members of the Teaching Steering Committee of Institutions of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, 37 high-level talents such as those in the Xingliao Talents Program of Liaoning Province, and 361 outstanding, leading and top-notch high-level talents in Shenyang.
