朔州师范高等专科学校创办于1949年3月，前身为晋西北雁北中学，历经察哈尔省立朔县师范学校、山西省朔县师范学校等多次更名，2013年5月经教育部备案正式升格为专科层次普通高等学校。学校由山西省人民政府领导，朔州市人民政府举办管理，接受山西省教育厅业务指导，以师范教育为特色，培养专科层次师资人才。

Shuozhou Normal College was founded in March 1949, originally known as the Yanbei Middle School in northwestern Shanxi. It has undergone multiple name changes, including Chahar Provincial Shuoxian Normal School and Shanxi Shuoxian Normal School. In May 2013, it was officially upgraded to a public junior college with the approval of the Ministry of Education. Led by the Shanxi Provincial People's Government and managed by the Shuozhou Municipal People's Government, the college is under the professional guidance of the Shanxi Provincial Department of Education, featuring teacher education and cultivating junior college-level teaching talents.

学校现位于朔州市开发区长宁东街，占地552亩，建筑面积23万平方米，设有中文、外语、数计、学前教育等9个系及思想政治教育教学部，开设小学教育、学前教育、应用英语等师范类专业。拥有综合教学楼、艺术中心、图书馆等教学设施，馆藏图书48.6万册，各类实训室145个，附属幼儿园及朔州市歌舞团为实践教学基地，先后荣获"教育创新示范单位""省级文明校园"等称号。

Currently located at Changning East Street in Shuozhou Development Zone, the college covers an area of 552 mu (about 368,000 square meters) with a building area of 230,000 square meters. It comprises 9 departments including Chinese, Foreign Languages, Mathematics & Computer Science, and Preschool Education, as well as a Department of Ideological and Political Education, offering teacher education programs such as Primary Education, Preschool Education, and Applied English. The campus features comprehensive teaching buildings, an art center, a library with 486,000 books, and 145 training rooms. Its affiliated kindergarten and Shuozhou Song and Dance Troupe serve as practical teaching bases. The college has been awarded titles like "Education Innovation Model Unit" and "Provincial Civilized Campus".
