天津城建大学是天津市属普通高等学校，始建于1978年，前身为天津大学第四分校，依托天津大学开办本科教育；1979年更名为天津大学建筑分校，1987年更名为天津城市建设学院，2013年更名为天津城建大学。学校坚持社会主义办学方向，以立德树人为根本任务，秉承“依托行业、强化特色、质量为本、追求卓越”的办学理念，践行“重德重能、善学善建”的校训精神，形成了立足城建、紧贴行业、德能并举的办学特色。

Tianjin Chengjian University is a public higher education institution under the municipal administration of Tianjin. Founded in 1978, it initially started as the Fourth Branch of Tianjin University, offering undergraduate education under the auspices of Tianjin University. It was renamed the Architecture Branch of Tianjin University in 1979, Tianjin Institute of Urban Construction in 1987, and finally Tianjin Chengjian University in 2013. Adhering to the socialist orientation in running schools and taking moral education as its fundamental task, the university upholds the educational philosophy of "relying on industries, strengthening characteristics, focusing on quality, and pursuing excellence" and practices the school motto of "valuing morality and ability, good at learning and building", forming a school-running characteristic of being rooted in urban construction, closely following industries, and integrating morality and ability.

学校坐落于天津市西青区津静路26号，占地面积59.54万平方米，校舍建筑面积45.32万平方米，校园绿化率达41.5%，获评全国绿化模范单位。设有15个学院、2个教学部（中心）和1个继续教育学院，在校生规模18000余人，教职工1400余人，其中专任教师1100余人，具有副高级以上职称教师400余人。现有54个本科专业，其中国家级一流专业建设点10个、天津市一流专业建设点14个，3个专业通过教育部工程教育专业认证，5个专业通过住建部本科专业评估（认证）。

Located at No. 26 Jinjing Road, Xiqing District, Tianjin, the university covers an area of 595,400 square meters with a building area of 453,200 square meters and a campus greening rate of 41.5%, and has been awarded the National Model Unit for Greening. It has 15 colleges, 2 teaching departments (centers) and 1 continuing education college, with a student population of over 18,000 and more than 1,400 faculty members, including over 1,100 full-time teachers and more than 400 teachers with associate senior titles or above. There are 54 undergraduate majors, including 10 national first-class professional construction sites, 14 Tianjin first-class professional construction sites, 3 majors have passed the engineering education professional certification of the Ministry of Education, and 5 majors have passed the undergraduate professional evaluation (certification) of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.

学科布局科学合理、特色鲜明，现有一级学科硕士学位授权点12个、硕士专业学位授权类别13个；天津市重点学科6个，天津市特色学科群4个；工程学、环境/生态学、化学进入ESI全球前1%。科研实力日益提升，现有省部级及以上科技平台33个，其中国家工程中心1个、天津市重点实验室4个；近五年获得省部级以上科技奖励80余项，承担国家级科研项目110余项，年均科技经费1.4亿元。

The discipline layout is scientific, reasonable and distinctive, with 12 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points and 13 master's professional degree authorization categories; 6 key disciplines in Tianjin and 4 characteristic discipline groups in Tianjin; Engineering, Environment/Ecology, and Chemistry have entered the top 1% of ESI globally. The scientific research strength is increasing day by day, with 33 provincial-level and above scientific and technological platforms, including 1 national engineering center and 4 Tianjin key laboratories; in the past five years, it has won more than 80 provincial-level and above scientific and technological awards, undertaken more than 110 national-level scientific research projects, with an average annual scientific and technological funding of 140 million yuan.

学校高度重视人才培养质量，拥有国家级大学生校外实践基地1个，天津市实验教学示范中心10个；近年来学生毕业去向落实率始终保持在90%以上，位居全市本科院校前列。创新创业工作成效显著，2024年学生荣获省部级科技奖励600余项，城大众创空间连续8年获评天津市A级（优秀）高校众创空间。

The university attaches great importance to the quality of talent training, with 1 national off-campus practice base for college students and 10 Tianjin experimental teaching demonstration centers; in recent years, the employment rate of students has remained above 90%, ranking among the top undergraduate colleges in the city. The innovation and entrepreneurship work has achieved remarkable results. In 2024, students won more than 600 provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological awards, and Chengjian Mass Innovation Space has been rated as Tianjin A-level (excellent) university mass innovation space for 8 consecutive years.
