天津石油职业技术学院隶属于中国石油天然气集团公司和天津市教委，是获得国家和天津市财政支持、教育部备案、天津市政府批准的全日制公办高职院校，是天津市国内一流高职院校、天津市示范性高职院校、双高计划建设院校，也是当前中国石油天然气集团公司下辖两所具有学历教育办学资质的高校之一。

Tianjin Petroleum Vocational and Technical College is affiliated to China National Petroleum Corporation and Tianjin Municipal Education Commission. It is a full-time public vocational college supported by the national and Tianjin municipal finances, registered with the Ministry of Education, and approved by the Tianjin Municipal Government. It is a first-class vocational college in Tianjin, a demonstration vocational college in Tianjin, a construction college under the "Double High Plan", and one of the two universities with academic education qualifications under China National Petroleum Corporation.

学院成立于1976年，地处国家现代职业教育改革创新示范区，占地1447亩，建筑面积25万平方米，固定资产原值逾2.73亿元，图书馆纸质藏书54.3万余册，建有文化活动中心、标准塑胶草坪田径运动场、大学生真人CS训练基地等文体活动场馆，在校生规模11000多人。

Founded in 1976, the college is located in the National Modern Vocational Education Reform and Innovation Demonstration Zone, covering an area of 1447 mu, with a building area of 250,000 square meters, a fixed asset original value of over 273 million yuan, and a library with more than 543,000 paper books. It has built cultural and sports venues such as a cultural activity center, a standard塑胶 lawn track and field stadium, and a college student live-action CS training base, with a student population of over 11,000.

学院开设有石油工程类、机械制造类、电子信息类等高职专业25个，其中石油化工技术专业是中央财政支持的重点建设专业，石油工程技术和石油化工技术专业被教育部认定为骨干专业。学院坚持"以大庆精神办学，以铁人精神育人"理念，拥有长期稳定的专业校外实习基地52个，建有石油工程、数控技术等国家级校内实训基地4个，培养的42000多名合格毕业生绝大多数已成为各单位骨干力量。

The college offers 25 higher vocational majors such as petroleum engineering, mechanical manufacturing, and electronic information. Among them, the petroleum chemical technology major is a key construction major supported by the central finance, and the petroleum engineering technology and petroleum chemical technology majors are recognized as backbone majors by the Ministry of Education. Adhering to the concept of "running the school with the Daqing spirit and educating people with the Iron Man spirit", the college has 52 long-term and stable professional off-campus internship bases, 4 national-level on-campus training bases such as petroleum engineering and numerical control technology, and more than 42,000 qualified graduates trained have mostly become the backbone of various units.
