唐山科技职业技术学院是一所经河北省人民政府批准、教育部备案的公办全日制普通高等职业院校，学校代码13396，隶属于河北钢铁集团唐山钢铁有限责任公司。学院位于河北省唐山市路南区警钢路68号，前身是创建于1949年的唐钢职工大学，2003年4月独立升格为高等职业技术学院，至今已有七十余年办学历史，因钢而生、依钢而兴，是全国职教先进单位和国家高技能人才培养示范基地。

Tangshan Vocational College of Science & Technology is a public full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Hebei Province and registered with the Ministry of Education, with the school code 13396. Affiliated to Tangshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. of Hebei Iron and Steel Group, the college is located at No. 68 Jinggang Road, Lunan District, Tangshan City, Hebei Province. Its predecessor was Tanggang Staff University founded in 1949, and it was independently upgraded to a higher vocational and technical college in April 2003. With a history of more than 70 years, it was born and thrived because of steel industry, and is an advanced unit of national vocational education and a national demonstration base for high-skilled talent training.

学院设有材料工程系、智能制造系、信息多媒体系、铁道经管系、轨道交通系五个系部，涵盖材料与能源、装备制造、交通运输、资源环境与安全、电子信息、财经、艺术-美术设计类等7个专业大类，开设钢铁智能冶金技术、智能轧钢技术、机电一体化技术、铁道供电技术等24个专业，形成了与唐山主导产业和新兴产业紧密衔接，以冶金行业、现代装备制造业、交通运输业为特色的优势专业集群。学院总占地面积23万平方米，建筑面积9.8万平方米，教学仪器设备总值2488万元，建有50余个校内实训中心和100余个校外实训基地，图书馆馆藏书刊57万册，为学生提供了良好的教学、实训和生活条件。

The college has five departments: Department of Materials Engineering, Department of Intelligent Manufacturing, Department of Information and Multimedia, Department of Railway Economics and Management, and Department of Rail Transit, covering 7 professional categories including materials and energy, equipment manufacturing, transportation, resource environment and safety, electronic information, finance and economics, and art-fine arts design. It offers 24 majors such as Intelligent Metallurgical Technology of Iron and Steel, Intelligent Steel Rolling Technology, Mechatronics Technology, and Railway Power Supply Technology, forming an advantageous professional cluster closely connected with Tangshan's leading industries and emerging industries, featuring metallurgical industry, modern equipment manufacturing industry and transportation industry. The college covers a total area of 230,000 square meters with a building area of 98,000 square meters. The total value of teaching instruments and equipment is 24.88 million yuan. There are more than 50 on-campus training centers and more than 100 off-campus training bases. The library has a collection of 570,000 books and periodicals, providing good teaching, training and living conditions for students.
