济南大学是山东省人民政府和教育部共建的综合性大学，是山东省重点建设大学、山东省高水平大学“冲一流”建设高校。学校始建于1948年，历经山东建筑材料工业学院、济南联合大学等发展阶段，2000年更名为济南大学。学校以工为主，理工结合，文理渗透，学门齐全，涵盖经济学、法学、教育学、文学、历史学、理学、工学、医学、管理学、艺术学等10个学科门类。

University of Jinan is a comprehensive university co-constructed by the People's Government of Shandong Province and the Ministry of Education. It is a key construction university in Shandong Province and a "first-class" construction university of high-level universities in Shandong Province. Founded in 1948, the university has gone through development stages such as Shandong Institute of Building Materials Industry and Jinan United University, and was renamed University of Jinan in 2000. With engineering as its main focus, the university integrates science and engineering, permeates liberal arts and sciences, and has a complete range of disciplines, covering 10 disciplines including economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, medicine, management, and art.

学校现有舜耕、燕山、圣井三个校区，占地面积243万平方米，校舍建筑面积104万余平方米。设有23个学院，拥有83个本科专业，4个博士学位授权一级学科，25个硕士学位授权一级学科，22个硕士专业学位培养类别。学校师资力量雄厚，现有专任教师2100余人，其中教授300余人，副教授700余人，具有博士学位的教师1400余人。

The university currently has three campuses: Shungeng, Yanshan, and Shengjing, covering an area of 2.43 million square meters with a school building area of more than 1.04 million square meters. It has 23 colleges, 83 undergraduate majors, 4 first-level disciplines authorized for doctoral degrees, 25 first-level disciplines authorized for master's degrees, and 22 categories of master's professional degree programs. The university has a strong faculty, with more than 2,100 full-time teachers, including more than 300 professors, more than 700 associate professors, and more than 1,400 teachers with doctoral degrees.

学校坚持立德树人，深化教育教学改革，着力培养高素质应用型人才。近年来，获得国家级教学成果奖5项，省级教学成果奖70余项。学生在全国大学生“挑战杯”竞赛、数学建模竞赛、电子设计竞赛等国家级赛事中屡获佳绩。学校注重国际交流与合作，与50多个国家和地区的130余所高校建立了校际合作关系，积极开展中外合作办学、学生交换、教师互访等交流项目。

The university adheres to moral education, deepens education and teaching reform, and strives to cultivate high-quality applied talents. In recent years, it has won 5 national teaching achievement awards and more than 70 provincial teaching achievement awards. Students have achieved excellent results in national competitions such as the National College Students "Challenge Cup" Competition, Mathematical Modeling Competition, and Electronic Design Competition. The university attaches importance to international exchanges and cooperation, has established inter-university cooperative relations with more than 130 universities in more than 50 countries and regions, and actively carries out exchange programs such as Sino-foreign cooperative education, student exchanges, and teacher visits.
