UUM is the first university in Malaysia to fully adopt optical fiber communication technology and one of the first higher education institutions to receive the "Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) Status" and ISO9002 international certification. In 2016, it obtained the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation, ranking among the top 5% of elite business schools worldwide. The campus boasts comprehensive facilities, including 15 student dormitories, a modern library, a gymnasium, a golf course, and a camping base, providing an excellent learning and living environment for students. UUM emphasizes internationalization and has established partnerships with many world-renowned universities.
