苏州科技大学天平学院是经教育部批准设立的全日制普通本科高校，属于独立学院，其母体学校为苏州科技大学。学院1999年开始筹建，2000年9月正式招生，2005年按教育部规定改设为独立学院，是江苏省内较早成立的独立学院之一。学院办学层次为普通全日制本科，基本学制四年，办学地点拟变更为江苏省南京市高淳区澄心路29号（正在履行教育部变更手续）。

Tianping College of Suzhou University of Science and Technology is a full-time ordinary undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education, an independent college affiliated to Suzhou University of Science and Technology. The college was prepared in 1999, officially enrolled students in September 2000, and was restructured into an independent college in 2005 in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education. It is one of the earlier established independent colleges in Jiangsu Province. The college offers ordinary full-time undergraduate programs with a basic academic system of four years, and its campus is planned to be relocated to No. 29 Chengxin Road, Gaochun District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province (undergoing the Ministry of Education's approval procedures).

学院依托母体学校优质教育资源，构建了一支专兼职结合的师资队伍，综合实力与教学水平良好。现设有8个院（部），开设31个本科专业及7个专转本专业，涵盖土木工程、环境科学、城市规划等省级特色专业，全日制在校本科生8000余人。学生修完规定课程且达到毕业要求后，将获得苏州科技大学天平学院颁发的本科毕业证书和学士学位证书。

Relying on the high-quality educational resources of its parent university, the college has built a faculty team combining full-time and part-time teachers, with strong comprehensive strength and teaching standards. It currently has 8 schools (departments), offering 31 undergraduate majors and 7 specialized-to-undergraduate majors, including provincial-level characteristic majors such as Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, and Urban Planning, with over 8,000 full-time undergraduate students. After completing the required courses and meeting the graduation requirements, students will be awarded undergraduate diplomas and bachelor's degrees issued by Tianping College of Suzhou University of Science and Technology.
