枣庄学院是山东省属公办全日制普通本科高校。学校前身为1971年建立的枣庄市教师培训学校，1984年经山东省人民政府批准成立枣庄师范专科学校，2004年经教育部批准升格为枣庄学院，2024年获批硕士学位授予单位。中国科学院院士王梓坤教授、姚建铨教授任名誉校长，中国工程院院士吴锋教授任校学术委员会名誉主任。

Zaozhuang University is a public full-time ordinary undergraduate university in Shandong Province. Its predecessor was the Zaozhuang Teacher Training School established in 1971. In 1984, it was approved by the People's Government of Shandong Province to establish Zaozhuang Normal College. In 2004, it was upgraded to Zaozhuang University with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and in 2024, it was approved as a master's degree-granting unit. Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Wang Zikun and Professor Yao Jianquan, serve as honorary presidents, and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Professor Wu Feng, serves as honorary director of the university's academic committee.

学校以“兼爱、尚贤、博物、戴行”为校训，坚持“地方性、应用型、开放式、工程化”办学定位，现有市中、薛城两个校区，市中校区占地1027亩，薛城校区占地1885亩。设有22个教学院（部），拥有材料与化工、生物与医药2个硕士专业学位授权点，68个普通本科专业，涵盖十大学科门类。全日制在校生3.2万余人，教职工1700余人，具有博士、硕士学位教师占比96%。

With the school motto of "Universal Love, Respecting Virtue, Being Knowledgeable, and Practicing earnestly", the university adheres to the school-running orientation of "local, application-oriented, open and engineering-oriented". It has two campuses: Shizhong and Xuecheng. The Shizhong campus covers an area of 1027 mu, and the Xuecheng campus covers an area of 1885 mu. There are 22 teaching colleges (departments), with 2 professional master's degree authorization points in Materials and Chemical Engineering, Biology and Medicine, and 68 ordinary undergraduate majors, covering ten disciplines. There are more than 32,000 full-time students and more than 1,700 faculty members, with 96% of teachers holding doctoral or master's degrees.

学校教学科研实力雄厚，拥有国家级本科专业综合改革试点专业1个，省级重点学科4个，山东省高水平应用型立项建设专业群4个，省级一流本科专业11个。建有国家林业草原石榴工程技术研究中心等国家、省市级科研平台130余个，教学科研仪器设备总值5亿余元，图书馆馆藏各类图书490万余册。

The university has strong teaching and research strength, with 1 national undergraduate major comprehensive reform pilot major, 4 provincial key disciplines, 4 Shandong provincial high-level application-oriented project construction professional groups, and 11 provincial first-class undergraduate majors. It has more than 130 national, provincial and municipal scientific research platforms such as the National Forestry and Grassland Pomegranate Engineering Technology Research Center, with a total value of more than 500 million yuan in teaching and research instruments and equipment, and more than 4.9 million books in the library collection.

近年来，学校获国家级教学成果奖二等奖1项，山东省级教学成果奖特等奖1项、一等奖6项，学生在省级以上创新创业大赛中获奖5200余项。毕业生升学率连续保持在30%以上、就业率连续保持在90%以上，荣获“山东省就业工作绿灯先进高校”称号，整体办学水平和社会影响力持续提升。

In recent years, the university has won 1 second prize of national teaching achievement award, 1 special prize and 6 first prizes of Shandong provincial teaching achievement award. Students have won more than 5,200 awards in provincial and above innovation and entrepreneurship competitions. The admission rate of graduates has remained above 30% and the employment rate has remained above 90% for consecutive years. It has been awarded the title of "Advanced University with Green Light for Employment Work in Shandong Province", and the overall school-running level and social influence have continued to improve.
