武昌首义学院是经国家教育部批准设立的本科层次民办普通高等学校，创建于2000年，前身为华中科技大学武昌分校。学校位于湖北省武汉市洪山区，校园占地1000余亩，设有信息科学与工程学院、机电与自动化学院、城市建设学院等10个学院，涵盖工学、管理学、经济学、文学、艺术学等多个学科门类，开设40余个本科专业，现有全日制在校生1.6万余人。

Wuchang Shouyi University is a private ordinary undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. Founded in 2000, its predecessor was Wuchang Branch of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Located in Hongshan District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, the university covers an area of more than 1,000 mu. It has 10 schools including the School of Information Science and Engineering, the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Automation, and the School of Urban Construction, covering multiple disciplines such as engineering, management, economics, literature, and art. It offers more than 40 undergraduate majors and has over 16,000 full-time students.
