潍坊科技学院是经教育部批准，由寿光市人民政府举办的一所全日制应用型普通本科高校，始建于1984年。作为全国少数县办大学之一，学校在办学条件简陋、资源有限、师资匮乏的艰难环境下，以非凡韧性和卓越追求，从中专院校逐步发展，先后入选山东省2025年硕士学位授予精准培育单位，圆满完成教育部本科教育教学工作审核评估，是全国应用型人才培养工程产教融合示范基地、定向培养军士试点高校、团十八大以来宣传思想文化工作先进单位、山东省高校三全育人暨全环境立德树人示范校、山东省就业服务先进单位、山东省文明单位。2025年5月，学校工程学进入ESI排名前1%榜单。

Weifang University of Science and Technology is a full-time application-oriented ordinary undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education and sponsored by the People's Government of Shouguang City, founded in 1984. As one of the few county-run universities in China, under the difficult conditions of simple办学 conditions, limited resources and lack of teachers, with extraordinary resilience and outstanding pursuit, the university has gradually developed from a secondary vocational school. It has been selected as a precise cultivation unit for master's degree authorization in Shandong Province in 2025, successfully completed the undergraduate education and teaching work audit and evaluation of the Ministry of Education, and is a national demonstration base for industry-education integration in applied talent training, a pilot university for定向培养 of non-commissioned officers, an advanced unit in publicity, ideological and cultural work since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Youth League, a demonstration school for three-full education and all-environment moral education in Shandong Province's universities, an advanced unit for employment services in Shandong Province, and a civilized unit in Shandong Province. In May 2025, the school's engineering discipline entered the top 1% of ESI ranking.

校园占地2400亩，在校生3万余人，教职工2307人，副高级及以上教师750人，硕士及以上1804人，其中博士488人，国家级人才7人，全国人大代表1人，泰山系列人才11人，山东省有突出贡献的中青年专家1人，省级教学名师8人，鸢都系列人才8人，96人受聘为东北师范大学、沈阳工业大学、中国海洋大学等高校博导、硕导，为应用型特色本科高校建设提供了强大智力支持。现设17个二级学院、59个本专科专业。建有13个省级工程技术中心和科研创新平台，2个省级黄大年式教师团队，4个省级青创团队，2个省级哲学社会科学青年团队。图书馆现有纸质图书220万册，电子图书110万余种。

The campus covers an area of 2400 mu, with more than 30,000 students and 2307 faculty members, including 750 teachers with associate senior titles or above, 1804 with master's degrees or above, 488 of whom have doctoral degrees, 7 national-level talents, 1 National People's Congress representative, 11 Taishan series talents, 1 middle-aged and young expert with outstanding contributions in Shandong Province, 8 provincial-level teaching masters, 8 Yuandu series talents, and 96 who are employed as doctoral supervisors and master supervisors in universities such as Northeast Normal University, Shenyang University of Technology, and Ocean University of China, providing strong intellectual support for the construction of application-oriented characteristic undergraduate universities. It now has 17 secondary colleges and 59 undergraduate and junior college majors. There are 13 provincial-level engineering technology centers and scientific research innovation platforms, 2 provincial-level Huang Danian-style teacher teams, 4 provincial-level youth innovation teams, and 2 provincial-level philosophy and social science youth teams. The library currently has 2.2 million paper books and more than 1.1 million e-books.

学校紧紧围绕山东省十强产业和区域产业布局，深化产教融合，积极服务地方经济社会发展，凝练科研方向，优化专业结构，培育专业优势，形成以工学为主体，智慧蔬菜、智能制造、海洋化工为特色，多学科协调发展的学科专业体系，形成了多个具有较大影响、特色鲜明的科研方向和学术团队。近年来，立项省级、市级、校级现代产业学院15个，主持国家重点研发计划项目、国家科技支撑计划、国家科技重大专项、国家自然科学基金和社科基金项目等国家级科研课题26项，省部级科研课题222项，获省部级以上科技奖励6项。自主研发97个蔬菜花卉新品种，42个新品种在农业农村部备案登记，授权12个品种权，1个蔷薇品种获山东省林木审定良种。天潍系列等38个蔬菜瓜果新品种在农业农村部登记备案，潍科系列番茄项目获中国技术市场金桥奖。

Closely focusing on Shandong Province's top ten industries and regional industrial layout, the university deepens industry-education integration, actively serves local economic and social development, condenses scientific research directions, optimizes professional structure, cultivates professional advantages, and forms a discipline and professional system with engineering as the main body, intelligent vegetables, intelligent manufacturing, and marine chemical industry as characteristics, and multi-disciplinary coordinated development, forming a number of scientific research directions and academic teams with great influence and distinct characteristics. In recent years, 15 provincial, municipal and university-level modern industrial colleges have been established, presided over 26 national-level scientific research projects such as national key R&D plan projects, national science and technology support plans, national science and technology major projects, National Natural Science Foundation and Social Science Foundation projects, 222 provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects, and won 6 provincial and ministerial-level or above scientific and technological awards. It has independently developed 97 new varieties of vegetables and flowers, 42 of which have been registered with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, 12 variety rights have been authorized, and 1 rose variety has been awarded as a fine variety by Shandong Provincial Forestry Appraisal. 38 new varieties of vegetables and melons such as Tianwei series have been registered with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the Weike series tomato project has won the Golden Bridge Award of China Technology Market.

学校始终坚持质量立校，不断深化教育教学改革，建立健全质量保障体系，大力实施质量工程并取得突出成绩。近年来，立项省级教学改革研究项目79项，获得省级教学成果奖15项。现有省级一流本科专业建设点10个，省级本科优势特色专业5个，省级一流本科课程13门，省级课程思政示范课程3门，省级精品课程30门，省级实验教学示范中心2个，省级示范性实习实训基地、创业实习基地4个，设施园艺创新教学团队入选山东省普通高等学校示范性基层教学组织。

The university has always adhered to quality-oriented school running, continuously deepened education and teaching reform, established and improved the quality assurance system, vigorously implemented quality projects and achieved outstanding results. In recent years, 79 provincial-level teaching reform research projects have been established, and 15 provincial-level teaching achievement awards have been obtained. Currently, there are 10 provincial-level first-class undergraduate major construction sites, 5 provincial-level undergraduate advantageous and characteristic majors, 13 provincial-level first-class undergraduate courses, 3 provincial-level curriculum ideological and political demonstration courses, 30 provincial-level excellent courses, 2 provincial-level experimental teaching demonstration centers, 4 provincial-level demonstration internship and training bases and entrepreneurship internship bases, and the facility horticulture innovation teaching team was selected into the demonstration grass-roots teaching organization of ordinary colleges and universities in Shandong Province.
