武汉学院是经教育部批准独立设置的本科层次民办普通高等学校，前身是2003年成立的中南财经政法大学武汉学院，2015年转设为独立高校，由腾讯主要创始人陈一丹先生以非营利性公益办学模式创办，累计投入20余亿元建设校园，学费收入全部用于学校发展。学校位于武汉市江夏区黄家湖大道，占地1001亩，校园由建筑大师何镜堂院士设计，拥有陈一丹伉俪图书馆、马化腾教学楼等标志性建筑，地铁8号线直达校区。

Wuhan College is a private undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education, formerly established as Wuhan College of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in 2003. It was restructured into an independent institution in 2015, founded by Mr. Chen Yidan, co-founder of Tencent, under a non-profit public welfare education model. With over 2 billion yuan invested in campus construction, all tuition fees are reinvested into the university's development. Located at No. 333 Huangjiahu Avenue, Jiangxia District, Wuhan, the 1001-mu campus was designed by renowned architect Academician He Jingtang, featuring landmarks like the Chen Yidan & Madame Library and Ma Huateng Teaching Building, with direct access via Metro Line 8.

学校现设8院1部，开设38个本科专业，涵盖经、管、法、工、文等8大学科门类，其中国家级一流本科课程3门，省级一流本科专业建设点8个。依托腾讯资源优势，形成"经济学与信息技术深度融合"的办学特色，开设全国首个供应链管理本科专业、首批跨境电子商务专业。现有专兼职教师900余人，高级职称占比42%，聘请20余位企业高管担任应用专业教授；在校生15343人，2019年以来累计发放奖助学金1.27亿元，毕业生就业率连续多年保持95%以上。

The university comprises 8 schools and 1 department, offering 38 undergraduate programs across 8 disciplines including economics, management, law, engineering, and liberal arts. It boasts 3 national first-class undergraduate courses and 8 provincial first-class undergraduate program construction sites. Leveraging Tencent's resource advantages, it has formed a distinctive educational model integrating economics and information technology, pioneering China's first undergraduate program in Supply Chain Management and among the first in Cross-border E-commerce. With over 900 full-time and part-time faculty members (42% with senior titles) and more than 20 corporate executives as practice professors, the university enrolls 15,343 students. Since 2019, it has distributed 127 million yuan in scholarships and grants, maintaining a graduate employment rate above 95% for consecutive years.

学校先后获批教育部新文科建设试点专业、省级课程思政教学研究示范中心，与腾讯、华为等企业共建85个产学合作协同育人项目，建成国家级众创空间。校园内设有帆船教育基地、无损检测实验室等87个实验实训室，图书馆馆藏纸质图书167万册。近年来获省级教学成果奖2项，学生在学科竞赛中获国家级奖项2993项，办学实力稳居湖北省民办高校前列，获评"中国区域一流民办大学"。

The university has been approved as a pilot program for the Ministry of Education's New Liberal Arts Construction and a provincial ideological and political teaching research demonstration center. It has established 85 industry-education integration projects with enterprises like Tencent and Huawei, and built a national-level maker space. The campus features 87 laboratories including a sailing education base and non-destructive testing lab, with 1.67 million paper books in the library. In recent years, it has won 2 provincial teaching achievement awards, and students have earned 2,993 national awards in academic competitions. Ranked among the top private universities in Hubei Province, it has been awarded "China's Regional First-class Private University".
